5.0 out of 5 stars | Best Bang for your Buck...A must have if you are into GMRS
I love these little bad boys they are Ham Radios you can program them to 70-centimeter band, 2-Meter band, and with a script modification(config.ini) 1.25-Meter band. I use the KD-C1 Programming Software with Wouxun USB Programming Cable (PCO-001) no errors reading and writing. Side note the CHIRP software is USELESS!!! I programmed them to just FRS works great. I programmed them to GMRS works great. I programmed them to MURS works great. I even programmed them to my work frequencies 452.XXX to 457.XXX.

5.0 out of 5 stars | Excellent price performance where quality nears professional analogue radios of same form factor
Build, audio quality, ease of programming, portability, usability, all excellent. These radios are near comparable to my professional Motorolas at a fraction of the cost that I bought two more for friends and family -- mainly for helping me with drone photography. Only problem encountered is accsss to spare batteries that are not shipped or shipped at a very high cost to Hawaii. Works excellent on ham band repeaters and simplex and GMRS and any other UHF frequency within range.

5.0 out of 5 stars | Worked great for DisneyWorld and I'm ordering another set.
We took a set of these radios to DisneyWorld along with some Baofeng radios. This set proved just as useful as the Baofengs and were a much smaller form factor. I did not expect extreme range from them but they seemed to be good for about 3/4 mile in more open terrain and about 1/2 mile surrounded by buildings. This was frankly all we needed to keep our group of 12 coordinated. There were some rides that generated some static on the radios but tuning to an alternate frequency eliminated this usually. We used them at 434.65 and 434.85 MHz. These are MUCH better than FRS radios. Even though the power output is only about 3W, the channel was not congested like all the FRS frequencies. They were also MUCH easier to deal with than pulling out a phone all the time. With everything else going on we rarely heard the phone's ringtone anyway whereas the callsign immediately got our attention. We saw a lot of curious looks and got a few questions about the radios. The battery lasted all day, which for us was about 12 hours. I was very surprised that we never ran the battery out. They recharged just fine overnight. We did try the in-ear headsets, and they worked just fine, but ended up mostly using them without a headset. In a more "communications-intensive" application I'd definitely use the headset. The belt clip was great and easy to clip the radio in and out. They worked great with repeaters around the area also. Tones and offsets were easy to program using the same cable as the Baofengs. And, make sure to use CHIRP. Of course, you need to be a licensed HAM operator with a valid callsign to use them. It's not hard to get the Technician license and I highly recommend it. This definitely met my expectations, and I found the description and other reviews to be pretty accurate. For these reasons I'm giving them 5 stars but recommend you buy them without thinking they are serious powerhouse radios like a Yaesu.
