Ended up with two units - one being a replacement for another. First unit had an odd problem where it couldn't calibrate its IMU or magnetometer unless a really short (10 cm) USB cable is used to connect it to a laptop. Second unit had unreliable TELEM1 and TELEM2 ports. They worked initially, but after about 5 minutes, link would be dropped and couldn't be maintained. The customer support is GREAT though. Can’t stress that enough. With first unit, they sent us a replacement unit without a fuss. They did ask some basic troubleshooting questions (would have been worried if they didn't). The same with the second unit, except this time, they offered to take back both units and issue us a refund for the original purchase. Would have preferred having a functioning unit, but that's fair. One other quirk with this particular Pixhawk build. The port for Spektrum/DSM radio controller receiver is a Picoblade connector. Unfortunately, Spektrum receivers typically use JST-ZH connectors. I did find a converter, but it is something to be aware of. A nice aspect: I like their surface-mounted switch for the arming button - VERY convenient for experimentation and much easier finding a place to mount it. ... show more

This flight controller is trash. The seller was prompt at least. Save your money and get a real Pixhawk. This board does not even support the newest firmware on which Arducopter recommends. Matter of fact, its firmware is generations behind, and is no longer supported by the online community. Many options were grayed out or non existent in Mission Planner. I tried this board on two different uav's same wobblyness, that I could not tune out. I just gave up. And when I reached out to RCGroups or Mission Planner (Arducopter) forums, and I told them which FC I had. Their immediate response was to trash this thing and get a real pixhawk or go back to a Betaflight board. And thats what I did. ... show more

ZERO STARS, see the communication from radiolink below. You can't upgrade the firmware. Such crap. Message from seller RadioLink Direct: Hi Gordon, So sorry to bother you. We noticed that you purchased our PIXHAWK Flight Controller, and we want to remind you one IMPORTANT thing when you use the PIXHAWK. If your firmware has been updated to ArduPilot official V4.0, the compass cannot be calibrated, we provide you with two ways to complete the compass calibration: 1. Connect the PIXHAWK to a GPS module(like SE100 GPS)with compass to calibrate 2.
