These are so easy to use! I have 2 kayaks and it was always a consideration where to kayak based on how close the water was to the car. Not anymore. These are very quick to set up, they roll super smooth and fold up and store in the mesh bag so I can stow them on the kayak when I’m in the water. Brilliant. They’re made really well, super sturdy. I bought this kayak carrier even after reading reviews complaining about the straps. The kayak carrier comes with the exact the same straps and buckle that I've been using to attach my kayak to my Hullivator for 15 years. In order to make sure your kayak/canoe does not come off the carrier, you really have to cinch the straps down really tightly, to the point you are even slightly collapsing the side of the kayak. In other words, pull down on the strap as tight as possible and the boat is not going to come off the carrier, unless it tips over. I find that the carrier is very well made and easy to quickly set up. I like that the axle is aluminum and not plastic. I used the carrier on my wife's 12 foot Pungo and my 12 foot Eddyline sit on top and it carried them flawlessly, despite having considerably different hull designs. I agree with others that the bag is nearly worthless and I am not using it. I am concerned I might lose those pins that hold the wheels on so I have to make damn sure I insert them back into the axle once I take the wheel off. I did a lot of research on kayak carries and I have to say I cannot be more pleased with this purchase ... show more

The dolly worked fine for our recent camping/canoeing trip. We used it to move the canoe to the car (I previously had to drag the canoe across the yard as it is too heavy for my girlfriend to carry). Our use is primarily on hard surfaces and slightly rough surfaces at and around launch/access points. It worked well. I had ordered another dolly and compared the two in our yard and this was the most stable. The ergonomics seem right and I can imagine it working ok over surfaces that were not too rough. The straps leave a bit to be desired and you would definitely want to use ratchet straps it you were going over very rougher surfaces. All in all this will work well for our needs. I also anticipate we will use this to transport our two kayaks and should be able to strap both on together. ... show more

This product is just what I needed. It makes trips from the vehicle to the water much easier, and it is small enough to stow on the bow of the kayak. It is robust enough that I have had 2 kayaks plus 2 coolers, 2 paddles, 2 life vests, and all the assorded belongings we bring with us on the water, and the straps were long enough to go around both kayaks. The rack was sturdy enough to hold the weight of all of our equipment with no concerns. This particular trip, we had to roll over some really rough terrain, and with a person in the back keeping the large load steady it was no issue at all. I know it’s not a high end YakAttack trolley but it works fine. The tires are a relatively soft solid tire so no worries about losing air. The frame is powder coated and is used solely in salt water. So far no rust on any of the parts. It folds up fairly flat, I don’t take the tires off but you can easily enough. For the price I would buy again. Once I figured out the center of gravity it is easy to maneuver around. One of my spots require about 150 yards of moving and there is no issue. ... show more
