These are so easy to use! I have 2 kayaks and it was always a consideration where to kayak based on how close the water was to the car. Not anymore. These are very quick to set up, they roll super smooth and fold up and store in the mesh bag so I can stow them on the kayak when I’m in the water. Brilliant. They’re made really well, super sturdy. This kayak cart is very sturdy and great for moving our kayaks to the lake from the vehicle/campsite. I deducted one star because we ended up changing the straps to easier click together buckles. The ones that come with it must be fed through the adjuster, and readjusted each time, I don't have time for that. The click together straps stay for the size of the kayak and work much easier. They need to redesign that part of their strap. But easy to replace for me as I had the parts from a previous item. I've been using this cart for about 2 years on an Old Town pedal kayak. It's a pretty heavy boat. 12 ft, 34 inches wide, and about 100 lb loaded. It works great with my boat. I load the kayak on it, then load the boat, and back it in the water. I also exclusively use it in salt water and it has held up great. The pins in the wheels have rusted but that's a cheap part to replace. The rest of the cart isn't showing any corrosion. I've owned about 3 carts and this has been the best one so far. There are better ones but they are a lot more expensive. This one works great and is very affordable. I would definitely buy again. ... show more

Easy to assemble and disassemble. Quick clips install fast but easy to loose. Made sure I got extras. Comes in its own mesh bag and fits behind the seat in my kayak. Trolley moves easy when strapped up but I wasn’t fully inflated so a bit flopsy mopsy down the road but that’s on me. Orange color matches the boat too. 150lb weight limit is better than competition that’s more expensive. ... show more

    • Works Okay, Not Easy Without A Hold-Down

I have an Old Town Saranac 146 canoe. I got this cart to be able to move it around, especially for any times when I might need to walk the canoe in to my spot. I appreciate how it can fold together and has transport in mind for its design. That being said, there are some things that make this a purchase I would skip on. First off, the wheels are completely plastic. They have no give to them and will feel every bump if you are pulling it on ground that's not perfect. You could replace them with pneumatic wheels, but at that point you could have bought a higher-quality cart. It also does not hold a canoe very well. The arms angle inward to hug a keel on a kayak, but that also means the foam to hold it in place doesn't make contact with a relatively flat surface (like my canoe). I've added some ropes to attach to the cart that I can pass over the canoe to tighten it against the card. This is really the only way I can make sure my canoe doesn't constantly fall off. It's a cheap cart and does the job when I attach the ropes, but I wouldn't want to walk an extended distance with this cart. It's just too rough in the places I want to bring it. ... show more

I bought this kayak carrier even after reading reviews complaining about the straps. The kayak carrier comes with the exact the same straps and buckle that I've been using to attach my kayak to my Hullivator for 15 years. In order to make sure your kayak/canoe does not come off the carrier, you really have to cinch the straps down really tightly, to the point you are even slightly collapsing the side of the kayak. In other words, pull down on the strap as tight as possible and the boat is not going to come off the carrier, unless it tips over. I find that the carrier is very well made and easy to quickly set up. I like that the axle is aluminum and not plastic. I used the carrier on my wife's 12 foot Pungo and my 12 foot Eddyline sit on top and it carried them flawlessly, despite having considerably different hull designs. I agree with others that the bag is nearly worthless and I am not using it. I am concerned I might lose those pins that hold the wheels on so I have to make damn sure I insert them back into the axle once I take the wheel off. I did a lot of research on kayak carries and I have to say I cannot be more pleased with this purchase ... show more

I have been carrying my kayak up until this point, this is a game changer! I am using this on a seaeagle razorlite (tandem) and it works great, up and down curbs no problem and it folds up easily and fits nicely in the back while out on the water. I like that the wheels do not require filling with air or any kind of maintenance. The pins that hold the wheels on are great and lock without fear of them falling out. Overall this has been money well spent. Others have reported the strap is short, I found it to work just fine on a seaeagle razorlite (tandem) which is really wide and tall. I can't comment on durability yet ... show more
