Light weight, soft, and extremely durable. This is the second time I’ve purchased these. I only had to buy new ones because my catahoulas rolled in something extra stinky. I don’t even want to know what, but it was so bad that I could not get the smell out. These can be thrown in the wash btw. I ordered the XL for my 85 lb girl with neck 19 inches and girth 31 inches. My 40 lb girl I ordered a large with neck 16 inches and girth 27 inches. They both fit great. It does take some time adjusting to fit but once they are fitted you won’t have to adjust them again. The straps stay put and won’t loosen with time like others sometimes do and they are soft and comfortable. They have elastic too which helps with comfort as well. It allows a little give on the straps. These harnesses are very very strong and durable. My catahoulas used to pull a lot on the leash and these never showed any signs of wear. I’ve used the handle on these a lot to help control my dogs as well when we are out and they don’t want to listen. They are very stubborn dogs. I bought a purple one and a black one this time (first time both black) and wish I would have gotten another color one this time instead of black because the purple looks so good. And I like that it stands out during the day for safety reasons. And it’s reflective for night time as well. My dogs like to escape any chance they get and take themselves on a run (and roll in the stink). The black blends in too much and doesn’t stand out. If they happen to get out and run in front of a car the bright colors would make it easier for someone to see them. Or for me to find them. They are so dang fast and won’t stop running until the bigger one gets tired. They can be a pain in the behind sometimes. But these harnesses are really great. Oh and my bigger catahoula used to slip out of harnesses I’ve had in the past. I’ve never had that problem with this harness. But the purple harness is so pretty that I think I might exchange the black one and get a blue or turquoise instead. I originally got the different color this time so I could easily tell which one is for which dog. That got really annoying when I had 2 the same color. I needed a good harness so I could safely and comfortably secure my doggo in my backseat to drive him places. If it's not tightened properly, the dog can slip one leg out of the intended hole causing discomfort and problems walking, so make sure the tightness is adjusted to your dog! I definitely prefer harnesses over collars, last time I was at the vet, someone in line behind me had their curious dog on a collar, and almost every time they locked the leash the dog coughed which didn't sound comfortable. My dog gets very anxious and tries walking everywhere, and it felt nice being able to pull him back without hearing any coughing. I also visually enjoy the design of the harness. ... show more
