She's underweight but still has that broad doberman chest, which made finding a good vest for her nearly impossible. I love this vest, I was able to adjust it perfect for her...it's a bit loose around her stomach but I believe after she gains some weight - it will be perfect! Have a few different types of harnesses ranging from random harnesses from amazon/overseas sellers, Julius k9, and this. I can say the all metal with the extended length double side buckles has to be one of the most thought out products in the market. Solid construction, all-metal buckles, metal D-rings (front, top front, and top rear), fully adjustable straps with velcro ends to clean up the excess strap slack, great handles (I like that the front is parallel with the body and the rear is perpendicular), molle pouches mountable, and plenty of room for name, funny, or cute patches. It has taken the spot as the long hiking or long walks harness. I still use the Julius K9 harness for daily and short walks since it's a bit quicker to put on and take off, plus the addition of the large reflective front strap is great for night walking. I still wouldn't hesitate to buy this harness again as I think this is currently the best tactical style harness on the market in terms of features and quality. The only thing I think it's missing is the ability to strap down the handles like how the Julius K9 harnesses. ... show more

My muscular black lab has destroyed so many harnesses over the years and I had lost hope of finding a reliable harness that wouldn't break within a few weeks but then I purchased this harness. The metal clasps on this harness were a huge reason I purchased this harness along with the fabric quality. This harness is the best harness I have ever purchased and if I eventually need to replace it in a few years I will be purchasing this same harness again. I take my extremely reactive dog on walks with this harness and occasionally secure this harness to a long tie out cable to let him run around and haven't had any trouble or worries with this harness. The adjustability of this harness is outstanding and I especially love the velcro thats on the harness because I've been sewing different fabrics and funny patches to velcro onto the vest to change up the appearance when I get the whim to do so. ... show more

We bought this for our one-year-old Belgian Malinois. He loves to run on a zip-line in our backyard, but his tug is so strong that it can destroy a harness quickly. This is the best harness we have used so far. It lasted three months before the stitches on the two back D-rings pulled out. We love the metal clasps and that the D-rings are solid. Our dog has easily broken plastic clasps and pulled apart weak metal D-rings, but not these! ... show more

i ordered a medium size 1 about a month ago for my gsd. i noticed as she grew how broad her shoulders were getting. i had to retire that 1. bumbed i spent over 40$ for it but oh well. while looking for another i noticed they had a style close to it for larger dogs. i purchased this 1. i had to really shorten the straps but it fits great. comfort, well i cant speak for that but its more solid then the other 1. i put her saddle bags on the new 1 and works awesome. shes only 8months probly a few lbs under weight. plenty of room to grow into with this 1. hope the 73$ was worth it even though it seems it was. loops are solid and huge. i would recommend this style. it is pretty heavy but ill just use less weight in her bags. ... show more

I have a 75lb American Pit Bull Good/Bad Boi rescue that needs to be secured at all times. This harness is the answer #1- 3 metal buckles, very secure! #2-3 heavy duty metal loops for leashes. I've used all 3 at one time to just 1 because he is always leashed with minimal pronged training collar (fyi Ive had him on a un pronged training collar...not effective in controlling him when excited he is still in training) #3- in the car the 3 point harness is excellent in securing him with the doggie leashes I found dog seat belts become unbuckled. Only one side up around the neck of the harness has a buckle the other side has velcro about 2-1/2 inches wide around the neck and chest, I was worried about that portion staying secured because he is muscular and chesty. It has not failed at all even when the kitty wont move from the walkway. #4- The material the harness is made from very heavy duty material I have the black. It can be stiff my dog wears it during the day but sleeps naked i want him to be comfortable and not chaff. Straps are ajustable to conform to his body i found sometimes finding a well fitted harness is like finding a suit for a bodybuilder this is his third harness. The harness checks all the boxes for a secure strong high quality harness. Lastly, plenty of area for patches my patches are reflective for safety. I would purchase again. ... show more
