Rab’s well-loved Men’s Microlight Down Jacket is fresh this season with some exciting new updates. An eco-friendly version of the original, this piece is now made with a durable and fully recycled outer fabric and insulated with recycled down. Rab also added a combination of micro and nano baffling to level up the jacket’s warmth while keeping the bulk to a minimum. Rounded out with features like harness-compatible pockets, easy packability, and a layer- friendly fit, the Microlight is at home on alpine ascents and mellow mid- winter hikes alike.

I like this jacket for the way it looks and feels. The only problem I have with it is that the zipper pull is on the left side when wearing it. I just read that some men’s jackets manufactured by European companies like Rab put the zipper pulls on the left. Ok. But ALL of my other jackets have the zipper pulls on the right and my brain naturally defaults to that . Having the zipper on the left just feels weird to me. It’s a bit annoying. ... show more

Feels very light and warm. One think I always want to see in these reviews is a guide to the fit. I have about a 42" chest and am 6'2" or so and 175 lbs. If you were a bit heavier there is room for a bit of a gut in the large size even with a fleece under the jacket and your waist could be 36-38 and I think large would still be the size. ... show more

Beautifully designed and crafted lightweight down jacket. Very light, but warm and comfortable. This is my second RAB jacket, and the quality is consistent. I bought a size XL and it fits me nicely.

    • Would Recommend - Warm Light and Fits Well
Athletic fit. As warm or warmer than more expensive competion like the Arcteryx Cerium. Adds durability in the outer shell material while also giving you hydrophobic down. I’ve been wearing mine for a month + now and no complaints about it. Super light yet as warm as my synthetic ski jacket which is much heavier. The only thing that could really be better about this jacket imo is if it were waterproof. But that’s not what this kind of jacket is meant for. So five stars from me. I can always ask for cheaper, but it’s still a better deal at a $100 less than something like the Arcteryx while picking up the extra features. ... show more
