I wasn’t expecting to be this impressed with a handheld emulator, but the R36T totally blew me away. Setup was simple — it booted right into the EmuELEC system and within minutes I was reliving childhood classics from the SNES, PlayStation, and even some old arcade titles. Everything runs buttery smooth, no lag or screen tearing at all. The 3.5" IPS screen is bright and crisp — pixel art looks gorgeous, and the RGB lighting around the joystick gives it that fun retro vibe. I’ve been taking it with me on my commute and it’s quickly become my go-to time killer. The sound quality surprised me too — the little speakers actually have some punch, and when I plug in headphones, it’s like being back in a 90s arcade. Battery life is solid — I get about 5–6 hours per charge depending on the game, and it charges pretty fast. The build quality feels nice and sturdy, not cheap plastic like I half expected. The buttons are punchy and don't stick like some I have used before. Great size to throw in a bag to take on the go also. If you’re into retro gaming or just want a fun, portable console that doesn’t break the bank, this thing is an absolute gem. Great for anyone who grew up with old-school consoles or wants to experience that era for the first time. Highly recommend!

Really really cool. I got this for my brother in law for Christmas, but I had to break it in for him ;) super fun to play some retro games that I grew up on. The screen mimics a crtv, which is just so cool to me. It’s got a neat animation when it boots up. The sound it puts out is quality, and you can tell they put some thought into it. It’s not a very lightweight machine, but that also goes into the pretty sturdy build quality. I’m giving four stars because the SD cards they put these games on are pretty low quality. I have a videography/photography business, and I can tell you that these micro SDs are cheaply made and will 100% malfunction. I bought a sandisk extreme micro SD that I rebuilt for the Retro TV device, and I have a lot more confidence in it lasting for my brother in law. I just wish the manufacturers would put a higher quality SD card in there from the start. The OS doesn’t fully run off the SD card, so there must be another drive internally running the OS itself.
