Zero Stars. This POS is a clone. A cheap TEMU clone- buy it there if you want it. Mine wouldn't boot up at all. Plastic feels cheap. This thing will fall apart quickly-not a good solid build. Buy an Anbernic.

This handheld brought back so many great memories with its huge library of preloaded games. I grew up playing a lot of these, and now they’re all packed into one little device I can take anywhere. Better build quality than others on here. It played nearly everything i tried but sometimes it had massive slow down. Other games didn't load or would get random lock ups. Super unfortunate because I bought the system for that purpose.

This handheld is so good. I have spent hours playing some of my favorite throwback games. Easy to pick up and play right out of the box. The protective/travel case is a nice added touch. really wanted to like this unit, already sent one back. here's my story. first one i ordered, had a problem that when you would press down on the controller, sometimes the character in the video game would react and not react or not stay in down position . this caused me to restart levels so many times and honestly was really infuriating. interestingly sometimes when pressing down , the character would also move right (direction on screen) , so this caused me alot of problems in the game as well. As of 14 April 2025 received second unit, the "down" function is better , but you can tell that there is a component defect since that is two brand new units that have a problem in this area. second one does it less, and is "tolerable". i wouldn't do any serious gaming as in playing a game start to finish , which was my plan for some retro games i never finished in the arcade, NES and SNES. now i will just play casually while waiting at a place and not expect to make too much progress in the game. I recommend getting the original R36 from the original vendor. the clone ones are okay with varying degrees of functionality. if you need something to pass the time , this is a lot cheaper than the switch or other portable units. and aslo the game selection is outstanding. technically you can get your money's worth just trying the games that are included and not worrying about finishing, i would say a good 50% of the titles are games that were just simply not even good back then (80s and 90s) some pros: the screen looks really good rest of the controls seem okay , with only some slight input delays (snes and nes "jump" button) game selection is good size is good usb charging is a good idea i would say it is good for kids and adults that just want to go down memory lane. for serious gaming of finishing full old games out of nostalgia or goals, i think you're better off with Mame or a Hackchi mini SNES or NES - or even playstation or nintendo store arcade classice since they may be better optimized. 3 stars out of 5. ... show more
