I was skeptical about ordering brake kits for cars because of bad experiences from previous cars that I work on. The brake kits didn’t have the right shims and sometimes the brake pads are a little bit bigger than the original one. I gambled getting this brake kits because it looks good from the picture and the price is reasonable comparing to buying it at an auto parts store and they don’t sell cross drilled rotors and I came across of this R1 concept. I received the parts and to my surprise, all the necessary hardware are just the same as the OEM. They fit perfectly. I highly recommend them because before they ship it, they send you an email to confirm what type of vehicle in order for them to send you the right fitment for your vehicle. I’ve been driving it for a few days now and the stopping is way better than the original brakes. It has a better stopping power. And it doesn’t heat up my rotor because of the cross drilled. Installed on my 91 Miata, looks super clean and nice. I’m assuming this is the case with most drilled brakes but I have a chirping noise coming when I apply the brakes. I assume it’s from the brake pad going over one of the drill holes. I’ve taken it apart and made sure everything was installed correctly too. No biggie, it doesn’t seem to effect performance. I would only purchase these for mild street use, if your looking for track brakes spend the extra money. 8/10 product ... show more

Well, I chose this brake kit because of the overall value and so far, I'm impressed. The rotors have a pretty good set of features that ensure great performance. The pads seem like typical ceramics, but they are well crafted. I only use ceramic brakes on my vehicles, so the fact that they're included saved me from having to purchase upgraded pads separately. The installation went great. All parts fit perfectly. After bleeding brake lines and doing a test drive and wear in, I immediately noticed the increased stopping power and performance. I did have an issue with the delivery though. The kit came without the brake hardware in the box. I made a call to customer support, since the description says they were supposed to be included, and they shipped them right away. The guy I spoke with was friendly, helpful and understanding, so no complaints here. Other than having to wait another few days. I purchased 2 weeks before I planned on doing the install, so I was ok with waiting the few days. Its been a couple weeks now and the brakes are still performing well. I've been driving very aggressively and they continue to impress. I definitely give R1 Concepts my seal of approval. Great product, great price, great service. ... show more

The kit bolted on and fits. They sent me mismatched pads. They sent me front pads for a BMW. After repetitive calls to Amazon and even R1 concepts no one was able to help or even get me the correct brake pads I needed. Amazon customer service wanted me to return the whole kit instead of sending the correct front pads. They were useless and R1 was not any help either, since this kit was bought off Amazon and not from them directly they basically said it’s not their problem, I would have to get it sorted with Amazon. Aside form this the rotors make a ticking sound when the brake pedal is pressed, apparently the noise is supposed to go away according to R1, it’s been 500 miles and the ticking continues. The brakes and rotors were installed by a mechanic correctly. Apparently people have had issues with these rotors making a ticking noise. Save your money and buy a quality set of rotors and pads, don’t waste your money on this junk kit. ... show more
