Worst brakes I have ever had, and I say that from experience. I have installed dozens of brake pads and rotor sets on dozens of cars including many R1Concepts rotors, and this is the worst. Instal was same as normal, and the everything seemed to fit well, but the screeching metal on metal scream coming from the brakes is unbearable. I took the truck to a certified mechanic, and the took everything off, and re-installed with new hardware, even flipped the rotors around to see if it made a difference, and it was better, for a while. Then the screeching came back. It has been a year, with over 12K miles on them, and the brake pads have still not fully seated against the rotor. The rotor has wear and scratch/groove in the center, but wear the edges of the pad should be in full contact, there is actually rust on the rotor where the pads still aren't even touching rotor. And I travel weekly down the steepest highway in the state, so these brakes should be fully seated and worn in by now. Instead, the brake pads have worn groves in the center of the rotors, and now the rotors are warped and pulsing, jerking the steering wheel, when the get warmed up. It appears that the compound to make the brake pads is FAR TOO HARD. It is basically like metal on metal contact. I can't wait to get rid of them and put new brakes on. I have had great results from R1Concept rotors in the past, and they have performed flawlessly in race track conditions with now warping. But I would not recommend their brake pads at all. I gave them 2 stars because the drilled and slotted rotors look pretty cool. and the ease of installation and fit was fine. But value for the money is not so good considering I'm going to have redo them. ... show more

I really like the pedal feel and stopping power of the included pads. Doesn't dust excessively either. The rotors were fine as well.
