Sometimes the rotors will make this hallow humming noise from the rear. Yes it’s annoying but it’s only happened once in a while. But other then that they work and look pretty nice. Good braking power. Don’t over heat from what I can tell.

I installed this on my wife's 2017 Kia Sorento EX. They look great and they stop very quickly. Problems I have or had is this. When I got the heavy box delivered R1 packaged the hardware clips on the bottom, below the 70 lbs. of rotors. Installing the pads and rotors were easy and no issues except one of the clips was missing. So I was forced to use an older one. After a day of driving, I was getting loud grinding noises from the front tires. Taking the tires off, We found that the clips that go between the calipers and the ends of the pads were bent. The center of that clip was rubbing on the rotor as it was spinning. Once we checked them, we were noise free. I now have around 1500 miles on them and when hitting the brakes after warmed up, you can feel the grinding when coming to a stop. Very gritty feeling. The OE pads were noise free and very smooth. I am not sure how long I can stand it. I am not sure if it is just what I got or the normal for the R1 brand of pads. I might be switching to Wagner pads soon. The rotors look great and do not seem to get dusty or dirty. As a big PRO, I messaged R1 thru their website on a Sunday afternoon and got what seem to be a human response and answer to my grinding noise problem. Not sure if I would repurchase. ... show more
