  • Good product
Size: 8000 BTU ASHRAE
Really great for apartments/dorms. Very easy to install. It is a little loud but does a great job of cooling down the room pretty quickly.

  • Blows cold and works well, the tube does take up room if you have a dresser in the way.
Size: 8000 BTU ASHRAE
The media could not be loaded. This portable air conditioner works really well, almost better than our window units. I was pleasantly surprised. It has a nice sound, not too loud, and good for sleeping. We have been using it steady almost 24 hours a day for the last month and a half. The water hasn't needed to be emptied at all. We do live in a dry climate, though. We had to put wood in the bottom of the window because the exhaust tube needs to be at a raised up angle, and we have a dresser in front of the window. The plastic window piece that comes with it can be cut to fit. We also cut a hole in it to put an outdoor extension cord through, so we could plug it in the garage. The exhaust air blowing outside smells kind of nice, like a new smell. ... show more

  • It’s fantastic!
Size: 10000 BTU ASHRAE
I never heard of this name before but then again there are plenty of unfamiliar names, but because I never heard of it, I hesitated. Our central air went out & since all 5 kids have moved out, there wasn’t a rush for me to get central air replaced. My logic was simple, I live in ND, we don’t get that many BLISTERING hot days as it is, let alone why cool ALL the rooms? So we bought this & it hasn’t disappointed us. It’s sturdy, comes w/many options, a remote, a vent hose. Now some ppl may place hose out window. I realize that’s what your supposed to do, however me personally, I do not want ppl to pass my home and see a hose out my window. Most of my windows are casement style. So my husband installed the hose through the wall/floor register vent. The air conditioning isn’t on everyday, because we’re not in that room everyday. If I need another one, I will for sure buy this brand again. ... show more

  • Use a mat & you're golden
Size: 8000 BTU ASHRAE
I was skeptical because I've had these types of AC units in the past, but this is the best AC in the house and I would get 3 more if my budget allowed Leaking can be an issue, like any AC, and we put ours on a rubber pad with a lip and just keep a casual eye on it. Never needed more than a tea towel to dry up the mat. It might just be condensation even. ... show more

  • Cools our bedroom
Size: 8000 BTU ASHRAE
I was hesitant. I doubted it would work. However, this little gem cools our entire bedroom. I didn't like that you have to roll it to another room to drain it but we've been using it all summer and have yet to have to drain it. No leaks, noise is comforting to me. Works great.

  • Works Great But Beware the BTU Claim
Size: 8000 BTU ASHRAE
This air conditioner works great so far in the bedroom in which it is installed, but unless there is some secret way to calculate BTUs it is NOT 8,000 BTUs. It clearly says 5,000 BTUs on its label. If you're not vigilant in checking those things it's easy to miss the deception. Beware.

  • Portable air conditioner
Size: 8000 BTU ASHRAE
It worked all summer so that's great. The window plate part was too long for a normal sized window so I had to take it to a hardware store to have it cut down, otherwise the installation part was easy.

  • Works for about 2 months
Size: 8000 BTU ASHRAE
It has a problem where it will constantly retain water so i had to bypass it which it doesn't cover in the manual, even when it's not on the dehumidifier setting it would be drained, run for 4 hours then shut off, mounted the hose it came with and have to constantly drain water, I suspect even though it's on the cool setting it's basically stuck being a dehumidifier perpetually. ... show more
