I laughed when i opened it and it had a glove. I stopped laughing when i used it. This thing gets extremely hot. Much hotter than any straight iron i have used previously. I started out on high heat and decided that might not be best for my hair and went to low. It heats up super fast and has nice easy to use controls. The only issue i had with it is it kept locking closed. you have to twist the end where the cord is to unlock it and maybe there is a learning curve but i struggled with it. Overall its a nice straightener but probably better used for thicker hair than mine.
