  • These things are invaluable
I have used these dams multiple times and they always work great. In the past, used them in FL when a hurricane was coming and I wanted to keep water from coming in the bottom of the garage door. This time, I used these in WNC as a “bumper” of sorts to route water away from the foundation and keep the lower level of the house which is partially underground dry. Even with all the rains from Helene, these did their job and saved me from flooding inside like some of the neighbors had. I know I can dry them to reuse but that seems to take awhile and they are a little bulkier than when out of package. More of a one time use really as I don’t want to attract mold but worth every penny as it saves big money for flood and mold restoration. ... show more

  • Works perfectly for my purpose
My mother moved into a ground floor apartment, and when it rains heavily water gets in her apartment. It doesn’t flood, it’s just enough to soak her entry rug and get a foot or two into her living area. I bought one of these around May of 2024, and it has worked to keep water completely out of her apartment almost every time she’s used it (for one really heavy rainstorm, she got about 1 cup of water in the entry). Last night we had heavy rain that lasted several hours, and not one drop got in the apartment. The biggest deltas are that once it’s soaked and it expands, she can’t move it around (being 82 and 5’ 2”/>100lbs), and that you need a place to store it (preferably in the sun) when you’re not using it. Note: I’ve seen several reviews with people complaining about the “deflation” time of these dams. They don’t “inflate” or “deflate”. The crystals inside soak up liquid and expand. It literally takes months for the crystals to dry, and they’re not going to get back to their original condition; however, mom’s has worked great regardless. ... show more

  • Stop the water
I’ve used these several times over the years and I think they are fantastic! It absorbs water, and it prevent it from coming in. They are easy to set up and do the job prevention of water entering where you don’t want it. They take a long time to dry out, but once they do, you can wrap them up, put them away and the next time you’re threatened with water coming in just pull them out lay them down and they do their job again. So easy and yeah, it works so well! ... show more

  • Great for preventing water from entering screen porch
So far the Quick Dam has been very effective in keeping water from entering our screen room. The screen room sets directly on our patio and with heavy rain - the water comes in. There is a tile floor laid over the patio concrete. The dams are light until they soak up water. They are not very flexible as far as bending around corners. ... show more

  • Perfect for My Needs
I like these along an area where a cement slab backs up to my house under a high wooden patio. After a heavy rain storm and an area in my basement got water I started using several of these along the wall. Has really helped and I keep them there year around

  • Water absorbing material doesn’t stay inside the bag
These were decent at doing their intended job of diverting rainwater away from my house. However, both packages I ordered, the water absorbing material seemed to rupture out of the middle once fully inflated.

  • Better than sand bags
The Quick Dams were a life-saver during the recent CA storms. Far easier to use than sand bags and just as effective. I successfully blocked water from entering a low level structure that in the past got flooded. Recommend highly.
