I picked this up to play Fornite on PC and was honestly surprised by how close it feels to the original. Shape is identical and fits into PS4 controller stands perfectly. It even has the “Shapes” on the buttons in real life, which they probably left out of the listing pics to avoid copyright issues. Buttons feel pretty close to stock. The face buttons are just a little less clicky than Sony’s, but the bumpers actually feel clicker than PS4 origianl. Triggers are nearly the same. I really like the thumbsticks too. They’re concave like Xbox ones, which I actually prefer over the PS4’s domed style. Biggest standout for me is that it charges via USB-C. That alone makes it feel more modern. Only downside is the battery is 500mA vs the original's 800mA, so it might not last quite as long, but I think it will be fine. Haven’t had a chance to test gyro, and trying to get it working in Fortnite on PC was a hassle but that’s more about Fortnite than this controller. The game doesn’t easily support PS4 controllers over Bluetooth, so you have to plug it in. Not a big deal unless you were planning to play wirelessly. The controller connects to Windows via Bluetooth with no issues, so this is definitely on Fortnite, not the controller. For under 20 bucks, the value is great. If you need a cheap replacement or a second controller, I’d grab it again in a heartbeat.

While I do own a PS4, I was really wanting to try this controller out with my other devices using its bluetooth functionality. I was very excited with the results. After inputting the command to enable the "X-Input" mode, I was able to easily connect to my Steamdeck without having to fiddle with any drivers. Aside from needing to be charged, it had literally worked right out of the box. So far the controller has worked great for my use case, but I must admit that you can physically feel the difference in build quality between this and an official PS4 controller. It definitely feels lighter at the very least. But overall, it's a great multipurpose controller for the $16.99 it cost at the time of purchase.

I like that this controller not only works with the Playstation, but also PCs. Setting it up is easy, you just have to press certain button combinations to bind it to your console or computer. When you are using it with a PC, there are three modes: wired standard HID, wires X-Input, and Bluetooth mode. They all work well, but I think the X-Input (XBox compatibility) mode has the best compatibility with PC games. Some Steam games wouldn't recognize the controller when in Bluetooth mode. However, that's not the controller's fault. The controller is sturdy and feels solid, but it's not perfect like a Sony or Microsoft controller. The trackpad works, but the resolution isn't very high. Also, the joysticks have a bit more "deadband" in the center than a Sony PS4 controller. Like the original PS4 controllers, it has a microphone and speaker. They also work on PC when using the standard HID mode. There is a reset button on the bottom of the controller. You can use a paperclip or a toothpick to press it. I managed to brick the controller (completely unresponsive and no lights) while trying to bind it to our console. I was able to get it working again after pressing the reset button. It's a nice gamepad for PCs, especially if you like the Playstation layout. It's also a decent controller for the price.

I hate this thing, but being honest I am very picky when it comes to controllers. I'm a big fan of first party playstation controllers, and off brand ones just never feel right. This one is very much a typical off brand controller. cheap plastic all around, buttons that just don't feel quite right and joysticks with practically zero resistance. All that being said, this is a fine value for the price. For as cheap as it is, it makes a great player 2 controller or controller for the kids, as long as your expectations are low this will do just fine for you.

I have a couple of the original Steam Link hardware boxes. It has been hit or miss when it comes to compatibility with PS4 controllers. These controllers pair up perfectly for wireless play. Hold the share + home button and you can pair it via Bluetooth. These controllers are perfect for casual weekend play with my kids. They have plastic shell and all of the buttons are solid and responsive. I did not notice any lag. Obviously these are not OEM quality, but they work great. For the price these are hard to beat.
