Description

Skyrail Evolution from Quercetti includes almost 20 feet of track for marbles launched at super speed thanks to the special “marble launch rocket”. A “ rotating atomic hammer” gives the balls extra power, as they go through a wild loop-the-loop. The suspended track can be assembled in many different ways following the instructions included in the box, or you can make up new routes. The launch rocket contains a special system giving the marble enough power to go up the track without slowing down.

  • Good kit overall, but the rocket marble launcher fails quickly:
The set is fairly easy to setup despite some directions not being super clear (it doesn't always show that you're supposed to use the black connectors between certain parts, but it wouldn't work if you didn't) and it is rather sturdier than it looks at first glance. That said, this particular set suffers from the "Rocket Marble Launcher" that is of a poor design. The launcher in our set wore out in under 24 hours. The cheap, semi-soft plastic with which it is made wears at the contact surfaces rapidly which prevents it from staying locked in the "ready to fire" position rendering it useless. While this doesn't render the track useless, it does prevent you from being able to use the track in one of two prescribed configurations, limiting your options for easy of play. Based on this fact, I would recommend this track set to those who have other Quercetti Skyrail sets already as having other parts readily available to create greater usable configurations with this set that don't require the "Rocket Marble Launch" piece. ... show more

  • Patience
It was a bit hard to put together. My kids wanted it just like the picture; however, the picture on the box was not visible entirely. They played with it for a day or two.

  • KIDS SEEM TO LIKE IT
This was a gift so based on what I was told, the kids loved this on Christmas. No complaints. I will modify my review if things change.

  • Disappointing and cheap.
With instructions as unclear as IKEA and engineering as impressive as a Ford Pinto, I wonder who had to be paid off to write any positive reviews. The clips are plastic and don’t hold very long when tracks have to be bent in order to make things fit. They break very easily. The shooter mechanism propels the ball off the track. There’s this mysterious atomic spinner thing that requires user intervention in order to work. It makes no sense. Are we supposed to let the balls arrive and then spin it manually? That’s about as entertaining painting with dried brushes. The directions could do with a few more pages. The last time I was as disappointed with a toy was when I discovered that an Easy Bake Oven didn’t actually cook anything. If you’re going to go with cheap plastic, might I suggest something that works, like K’Nex. ... show more
