This mouse is the solution I have been waiting for: one with gaming performance (1,000hz polling and insane 36,000 dpi that's more than enough for most people), enough buttons to program some macros (besides the right click and scrolls, there are 4 side buttons with a joystick that can have its 4 directions programmed to whatever you need them for, totaling to 8 additional buttons), hot-swap switches (I want to easily change between the ROG microswitches and the Huano White Dot Silents), and all the RGB I could want on a mouse. I especially love the magnetic panels to easily take the top plate and buttons off so swapping the microswitches is so easy. It comes with the carrying case, dongle, USB cable, a set of less clicky switches, and diffuser plate that you can draw on to customize with your own design for the RGB to shine through. I really like the translucent look of the covers so the ROG logo is less bold and hints of the switches can be seen through the buttons. It is a bit on the heavier side but it moves pretty agile. To get the most out of it, you need to use the Armoury Crate program, which most people are not fond of. However, once you set it up the way you like once in there, then you don't have to deal with it most of the time. You can also customize the RGB through Aura. I just don't like where the joystick is positioned. It's too forward to me and I end up canting the mouse so I can use the joystick. If I need to have constant contact with the joystick, then the mouse angle will not be straight. However, in Armoury Crate, you can actually compensate for the angle. I find if I set it by -5 degrees, then I can use the joystick with the mouse canted and not strain my arm. I would definitely recommend this for the person who is looking for a gaming mouse that could double as a productivity mouse. Except for maybe its ergonomic shape, I would even choose this over the MX Master 3S.

I've been using the ASUS ROG Spatha X for a few months now, and I can confidently say this is one of the most impressive gaming mice I've ever owned. While it’s definitely on the heavier side, the weight feels intentional—giving it a premium, armored feel that actually complements my playstyle, especially in FPS games. What really elevates the experience is the deep customization. From button remapping to lighting effects, everything can be fine-tuned to your liking. I especially love that I can sync it with my ASUS desktop—the RGB lighting even reflects system temperatures, giving me at-a-glance insight into my machine's performance. And it's cool looking. The design is bold, futuristic, and uniquely ROG. If you're looking for a really cool, unique, customizable, and well designed gaming mouse with performance, I highly recommend the ROG Spatha X.

I originally bought this for use with my gaming desktop with my RTX 4070, and to be clear, it works great for that role. It's just as responsive and also cooler looking than my other high-end gaming mice. It has fully replaced my Logitech G Pro, for example. However, I am currently using it with a Chromebook, which I use for writing novels and stories and running questions by Google Gemini. This mouse has elevated my copy-pasting and tab switching beyond belief. Scrolling mindlessly on Microsoft News is now so responsive. Clicking "skip" on Youtube music compilations when I have writer's block has never been so snappy. It's well worth using a $125 mouse for a $99 Chromebook. I'm not even fully joking. It's a noticeably better experience than cheap mice even for the most mundane tasks imaginable.

I got this mouse on sale, and it was incredibly worth it. The joystick may seem gimmicky, but it has come in handy so many times for different use cases. The mouse is made out of really nice plastic and functions well. The connectivity can cut out A LOT if the 2.5 GHz dongle is ever so slightly far away, so PLEASE use the cable extender to have it closer to the mouse. The hot-swappable switches and awesome joystick have made this my forever mouse.

Personally, I really like this mouse. I have large hands and I find it very comfortable. I use it primarily for work, so it's in my hand almost 8 hours a day. I love the weight of it also. It seems well built so far, I've only had it for about a month. So we shall see. Now, for my dislike. First off, it could have came with a dongle. Second, I have yet to be able to utilize the thumb bottons. But here is MY personal situation with that, on my home pc I was able to program the thumb buttons for what I wanted and they all worked great and saved to the onboard memory. BUT, when I connect it to my work laptop, they do not. I think it may have something to do with the software or drivers that need installed for it. But since my work laptop is controlled by our IT department, I cannot install the drivers or software for it, so it just has the basic mouse functions and that's it. If anyone knows of a work around for this, I'd be happy to hear it.
