The Flymay upholstered bed frame arrived pretty fast and was well packaged. The box is long and awkward enough that it is easier carried by two people, but manageable if only one is available. The bedframe and headboard are quite sturdy, assembling requiring two people to maneuver and assemble the pieces, which takes about an hour to an hour and a half. Packaging and concept were very well thought of as all of the pieces were packaged inside the headboard. The instructions are pretty straight forward however the middle brace pieces can be easily installed incorrectly. The tools and all bolts are supplied, there are extra bolts provided if needed and the small wrench worked okay; however, we used a DeWalt drill to install with hex-head bit to make it easier. The effort is well worth it, as the finished product looks very nice with clean lines. Its modern, clean design and deep dark gray color complement our bedroom color and decor. The material is both durable and soft, which makes me believe that it will last a long while. The base is pretty sturdy too as it sits low to the ground without any creaking; even after both of my Great Danes climbed into bed with my husband and me. ... show more

We got this bed for our guest room, I like how it eliminates the need for a box spring and provides a squeak and rattle free bed. You get a neat ratchet for the Allen key needed and this tool saves a lot of time putting this bed together. The bed comes in a super heavy box that you might need help with. I dragged the box inside, opened it and took out the parts to avoid carrying this massively heavy box. The instructions are correct but you will need your glasses if you wear them because the print is small. If you have extra bolts other than the extra one they provided that means you skipped a step. Make sure you don’t forget the bolts that hold the metal cross beam together. The single long bolt goes through the first wood slat and the cross member of the frame. Overall very nice bed, the quality is well made and all the bolts fit correctly. It feels sturdy and doesn’t make any noice. I like how it’s slightly slower than the average bed making it easier to sit on and get up from. You get about ten inches underneath the bed, I wouldn’t recommend using it for storage since the space is fairly narrow. ... show more

I was excited for a new bed frame with an ACTUAL attached headboard as my last one was just a stick on headboard which ended up eventually falling off. However, I am EXTREMELY disappointed about the height of this headboard 🙁 It’s very very short!! Literally 19 inches tall (not from the floor, just the actual headboard). At first I thought maybe I just have a tall mattress (12 or 14 inch) making it seem shorter, but no because you can clearly see where my mattress ends in the picture. Also, in my pictures I only have two standard size “my pillows” and if I put all four pillows like I normally would, they would completely cover it up and you wouldn’t be able to see the headboard at all!! Even just sitting on my bed with my back up against the headboard feels awkward because it only goes up to my mid back(as pictured) & for reference I am 5’5 and 170 lbs. If you look on my wall, you can see the marks from my previous headboard that peeled the paint off and see the size difference where that one was compared to this one… that was just a normal standard size headboard. Idk, maybe it’s just me, as it seems the newer “minimalist style” aesthetic is in, so maybe this falls into that category/look and this was designed with that in mind. 🤷🏻♀️ I just feel that for the price, it is not worth what you get. Call me old school (or a boomer as my kids say, lol) but I feel like a headboard should be TALLER than your head!! Assembly was easy my husband said, considering it’s the fourth bed he’s had to put together this year as we got the kids new beds also over the summer. 🤭 Anyway, I hope the pictures give some perspective and can help in you deciding if this is right for you or not. 🫶🏼 ... show more

I love that this was very easy to put together and looks to be a fairly high-quality item for such a low price that it is offered at. I think that with two cats, the headboard could be pricked pretty readily, particularly if they decided as a scratching post. I have tried to dissuade from that by currently applying cat furniture protectors. I love that this is lower to the ground and not one of the high headboards that require a large amount of pillows to look well. Very securely packaged, fabric is very soft, instructions are actually very very well laid out and should make construction simple for anyone. Materials have a good quality feel to them and the frame itself seems to be tubular steel which supports the advertised 800 lbs weight support. Was not very difficult to set up. This bed frame was easy to assemble and surprisingly sturdy - especially at this price. The upholstery on the headboard looks and feels high quality. This bed frame does not have any rattles or creaks. However, the chance to stub your toe is higher with this design, due to there being 6 legs/stands on the perimeter of the bed frame. ... show more

Me and my boyfriend put this item together exactly as described in the instructions manual unfortunately the bed is very cheap and flimsy, and I would not recommend anyone to buy it per the picture above or below. The item does not properly fit together with each piece so unfortunately, the bed sings to one side. I ended up purchasing a different bedframe from a different brand.
