I gave this bed frame 4 star rating after thinking a bit about it's intended purpose. If you need a solid, well-built, comfortable bed frame that lasts forever, you will find this product lacking quite a bit: it is minimalist "value" design - steel rails, a set of horizontal wooden cross-planks connected by fabric strips, and a thin open-box design headboard that has to be installed against a wall because it is not finished on the back. The headboard is used for creative compact packaging - it serves as a box/tray for all other parts, so the entire bed comes in a box slightly larger than the headboard. The two main rails consist of two parts each that need to be connected together. This may compromise the stability of the frame. The velour finish is more of a white than beige, I actually like the tone. Padding underneath is not thick. You can feel boxy edges of the headboard through the fabric. To summarize: As a good bed frame, this product can barely score 2 stars. But I believe, this frame is designed for temporary use - spare guest bed, etc. For that purpose this inexpensive value product will serve acceptably well.

I've had a very similar bed frame in the past, only it didn't have padding or a headboard. I'm excited to have a headboard! I was so happy when I saw this in pink! I'm moving, so will have to get a new mattress too, but I've never had or wanted a box spring, and this bed doesn't require that, the mattress just sits on slats. It's an easy-to-assemble bed, and easy to move, too, as it's not very heavy. The only slight minus is that it's pretty low (near the floor), so you can't store too much under it, but when I move to a bigger place, I won't have to store as much under it, either. Things get dusty under the bed anyway. I will have to get some scotch guard to spray on it, hopefully that will make it stain-resistant and easier to clean. I have cats and a dog, so I'll need to be diligent with the tape roller, that will help stop dust as well as fur from sticking to it. This is a great price for a queen-size bed frame with a headboard- $149.00! My old similar bed frame was only full size, and it was $119.00 in 2006 when I got it, so this one is really a great price. Hopefully it will hold up as well as the other one did (that one was wood)- since this wood is covered, it's hard to tell just what it is, hopefully not particle board! I'm not that heavy & (sadly) I sleep alone, so it should be ok. I'll update in a few months & let you know how it's holding up!
