My teen son has a very small room, and this bedframe created so much extra space! Now the floor is clear of clutter. It was fairly simple to put together, took the two of us a little over an hour. We experienced a similar issue to other reviews, we couldn't get the bed in the down position after installing the pumps. We had to take them back off, add the mattress, then lift and put the pumps back on. After that, it went down with no problems, just needed the extra weight. It stays in the up position with no problems, and doesn't make any noise. The side panels are kind of cheap appearing and feeling, but it overall seems very sturdy. Great buy, highly recommend!

Price is great, is pretty sturdy, and plenty room to store lots of things. Wood slabs are strong too, everything came perfectly packed no broken pieces. It wasn’t hard to put together.

Don't expect it it to be in perfect condition upon arrival. There will most likely be some flaws like gouges in the coating of the metal or a pre-assembled screw put in crooked messing up the wood/plastic (see picture), or the wood not being centered. Not huge things, just annoying but definitely not a deal breaker. Overall it looks nice and I'd say it's worth the price. To me the assembly was easy. I did it at a leasury pace by myself and had it together in less than 1.5hrs. To the other ladies or not super muscular guys, the box is a bit heavy (around 100lbs) and long/awkward so you might grab someone to help you get it in the house or take it in piece by piece. In addition to the mattress we also have what I refer to as a mattress platform, it takes the place of a box spring but doesn't have springs (I added a picture for reference) so it's much lighter, probably between 10-20lbs. I'm not sure if it's due to the weight of the mattress being higher but it is super hard to lift the bed up, but *IF* you have the bed 5-6in from wall, once it's up all the way it stays up so I'd say the quality seems pretty good, if you have the frame against the wall it will still go up all the way but it will NOT stay up by itself, the extra hight causes the mattress to hit the wall putting pressure on it, so get a prop.

I like having the extra storage without taking up extra room. The flip up works great. I gave the frame pushed up against a headboard and I have no problems opening. The cons are to do with the assembly. You need to really watch how the pieces pictured. They are no marked very well on which direction they go. I needed to drill 2 holes in the metal to install the lever arms. They just were not in the right spot. Make sure you study the direction, layout the pieces before assembly, and have help.

Honestly not too bad for the sale price. Took about 45-50 minutes to put together alone, so as long as you can read you'll be fine. The space is adequate for what I need to store - blankets, small boxes, exercise stuff - but If it's anything taller then the bed won't close. Overall very happy with my purchase.
