This product arrived in three boxes. This product requires two people to assemble, mainly to hold ends up while one person screws in the pre-drilled holes with required bolts. The slats lined up nicely and had pre-drilled holes for both the main frame and the trundle. We had an 11 inch thick queen mattress and a 7 inch twin mattress for the trundle. It fit underneath, but does require some pushing and pulling for it to fit snugly underneath (nothing you can’t pull to come, but if you want it to move seamlessly in and out, you should get a mattress 6 inches or less (no guarantees that mattress would be comfortable for your guest though). The 11 inch queen mattress does not look like the picture sitting on top of the slats on the main queen frame. You would need a mattress with at least 3-4 inches less thickness to appear as pictured (also compromising comfort). Can’t complain on the cost, look, and quality as a package. Exactly as pictured! Easy to put together with 2 people. To get the full effect of back board, you will need a thin mattress. My is on the thicker size. So you can’t see all of back board like picture. But it is fine. I really like bed.

It would’ve been impossible to assemble if I didn’t have the drilling equipment, there were no holes in a lot of places. The 6/7 no. screws were breaking too. It was really difficult to assemble. Definitely not a one man job. Size is true.

Purchased this for my son and he loves it! I love the fact that it was easy to put together and is well made. My son jump all over it and it’s still standing sturdy! Bonus- space for another mattress underneath for sleepovers :)

I'm so glad I purchased this! This bed came in two boxes. This was probably one of the easiest beds to put together. I would recommend that you use a hand drill it is so much quicker and easier to put together. Quality is also better than expected! Easy to assemble and nice sturdy bed. Our daughter loves it. Great quality daybed! Love this bed! I wanted rustic look and didn't disappoint. The shelf is very handy. Very sturdy as my pittie plays and sleeps on it as well. However, set aside 1-3 hours to assemble as there are a lot of parts. Instruction guide is easy to follow. I bought 2 8 inch memory mattress, which work since I can lift the frame a little and pull it out, but I would say for an easier set up when converting an 6 inch mattress would be better. ... show more
