This platform bed frame frequently collapses — at least once a week by now — and we have to re-fit the wooden slats. I wish the ledge for the slats were wider. Somehow, from regular usage, they keep scootching off, only to finally collapse every time. The slats are starting to scrape and wear because of this.     • Mixed Feelings - Odd Pieces & Wasted Time

Well, this product has good bad and ugly. To start with the bad first, I was surprised to get two boxes. I just bought the bed which came in two. That was totally fine, it was just odd how I got one package on a Thursday and the next on a Monday. Considering I didn't mind waiting for the second, I literally had to look in the reviews to see how many packages there were. No Biggy. At times I can be pretty patient. When I received the second package, I was very excited. After a long day of work, I knew it would take about an hour or so to put together just for simplicity sake. I just got the frame of the bed, not even the headboard or any other extras. Pieces aren't real wood, which I don't have a problem with. The thing that I struggled with was receiving parts without holes. On the bottom, for the feet, I received two of the same pieces so all of them faced the same way. So, I sat there incredibly frustrated because I had to measure correctly and DRILL NEW holes into the pieces. So now I have feet with holes facing outward where they can be seen. I could have asked for item replacements or the correct equipment, but after going without a frame for so long and the two separate packages, I gave in against my better judgement. So, what should have been a 45 minute to a 1-hour job ended up being a 5 and a half-hour job. And the directions were not great. Expect to have extra hardware and tools laying around if you consider getting this. Good? Well, if you like arts and crafts, there you go folks. This bed might be for you. Once it's put together it looks nice, and so far it's pretty sturdy. I hopped and rolled around on it for fear of it breaking or snapping on one of my dogs, but it's been okay so far. The slacks for the bed looked like they may have been missing at least one more, but that was from observation after laying them down. But nothing is moving out of place and seems sturdy enough, and I'm not sure if it was because of my ingenuity or the bed itself... ... show more

Thinking that the bedroom set looked nice and affordable I purchased the whole thing (Queen bed, desk, book shelf, side table, chest of drawers...) Though difficult and time consuming-- got them together. Then, put the TV on top of the drawers and barely tapped a corner, a large chunk of manufactured wood fell off. In the middle of the night a piece of the headboard fell on us and we will have to purchase our own items to put it back to a sturdy state. The end tables-- lovely. The one that is mainly used is chipped to from the lamp, coffee mug, books, and flower vase (junk). THE FURNITURE IS FALLING APART. Not because it isn't staying together (except head board) but because the wood is a layer of soft fluffy "wood" covered in pretty and cheap thin covering. ... show more

We've only had this bed a few days but so far we really like it! Putting it together was fairly easy with two people. Giving it 4 stars because it did arrive with a few small scuffs (nothing crazy) but more importantly because the slats do not properly fit the bed. As you put it together there are these wooden dowels at the headboard and footboard that are very clearly to keep the slats in place and stop them from sliding around. It looks like you're supposed to hook the first and last slats around them. However, the fabric connecting the slats is just BARELY too short to do this. So we could only secure them on one side and have the spacing on the other end a little wonky. Its nothing major, but I suspect if the mattress is shifted too much it may be easier for the slats to fall out than if they were the exact length the design called for. Also if you have a large dog and are not getting the drawers, look out: all 3 of my dogs love climbing under this bed!! No big deal for my dachshund or (so far) puppy German shepherd. But my lab is a bit tubby and has managed to get stuck under the bed the last two nights! We have to actually lift the bed up a couple inches to get her unstuck! This isn't really the fault of the manufacturer of course. But it would be a real problem if I weren't strong enough to do that and we're planning on creating a barrier of some kind to keep her from sliding under as she sleeps next to me on the floor at night. ... show more

Comes in two very heavy boxes but did arrive early. Easy enough to figure out if you pay attention but none of the pieces are labeled like they are on the directions so you have to pay close attention to what you’re doing to get it figured out. It’s not real wood but as long as you’re not doing anything crazy it should last you a while. Matches the headboard I bought and the rest of the set that I bought as well. Super disappointed about this bed frame. Parts of the bed came already scratched on multiple places due the shipping, when I referred to scratch means the color brown was removed from the piece. This is the type of thing that you can look at it but can not touch it. It will get scratch for everything. Super Super cheap/bad quality, go to Ikia or to a physical store instead of buying this junk. I am doing it you a favor writing this so you can go and look for other options. Save your money and get you another bed frame. ... show more
