Good Design, but Some Quality Issues

The metal structure is solid and well-designed, and the overall concept and functionality of the bed are good. However, the boards themselves don’t feel like they’re particularly high quality. Assembly was also a project—it took two full days to put everything together, so be prepared to spend quite a bit of time on it. Once assembled, I noticed a few design and quality issues. There is about a ½-inch gap between the vertical board of the bed and the frame, which is noticeable and makes the fit look less finished than expected. The bed stand also wraps against the frame, which seems like a design flaw and could potentially cause wear over time. Most concerning, the edges of some of the bed-frame boards are already peeling/chipping, even though the bed was recently purchased. Overall, I like the design, functionality, and sturdy metal structure, but the quality of the boards and some of the finishing details could definitely be improved. It’s a good-looking, functional Murphy bed, but don’t expect premium materials or flawless construction.
