I love the look of this bed. My husband put it together. He's a handy guy but it took him a long time to complete. He complained A LOT! But he's satisfied with his new bed! ****UPDATE*** 03/12/21 After a couple of weeks of having the bed, I would say I regret buying. While I still love the still, the structural integrity is HORRIBLE. I had missing screws and five panels break. If you buy this bed DITCH THE SUPPORT BOARDS. Go to Ikea and buy theirs or find an alternative, screwing them in is just stupid. Now I have to get additional, solid wood, to make the bed hold up without falling. The wood they give you sucks and splits so easily, even when you pre-drill the holes. I wish I could go back to my old bed frame because I would have saved the $300 and the time it took to put it together. Overall this bed is good for the price. Made out of actual wood so it is pretty sturdy structurally and it only took me an hour or two to put it together. The box came with everything except a couple of the screws, but I managed to still put the bed together just fine. The only thing I would caution against buying is like many other reviews, the boards that hold up the bed are flimsy. Do not even bother using them because they will break. I suggest going to Home Depot and getting thicker and wider boards to screw in, or going to Ikea and getting their boards because they will hold up under any weight. I am only 145lbs and this morning when I got out of bed one of the boards snapped out of nowhere. Another thing is that not all the holes are predrilled so be prepared to have a drill. All of the support boards need to be drilled in along with two headboard pieces. If you are not comfortable with drilling yourself I would not recommend it. ... show more

    • Just get a bed from Ikea and save yourself the time and money
Don’t get me wrong, this bed is gorgeous. But it’s made out of poorly measured soft wood. Our slats were warped beyond use, so we couldn’t drill them in place. Had to buy a bunch of 2x4s and a low profile foundation to keep from falling in the middle of the night. At least 3 of the spindles were too short to secure to the headboard, and they’re so bendy as to be completely decorative. The pièce de résistance was last night, after three months of gingerly laying down so as to avoid offending the bed’s delicate sensibilities, when I rolled over and the center beam snapped in two places in apparent outrage that I don’t sleep like the dead. There is nothing more terrifying than plummeting to the ground at 2:37 in the morning. Actually, that’s not strictly true. Having to drive to an IKEA in a pandemic with wood shortages as you desperately search for a new bed on a short timeline is pretty terrible too. This bed is beautiful, but deadly. This bed is gorgeous. It was packed really well. The instructions were good and all the parts were labeled very clearly. My only complaint is there's more flex than I would've expected after assembly. My husband put it together and he's usually good at doing things right, so I believe it's the product. ... show more

This is sooooooooooo hard to set up. I like assembling furniture, and this was awful. Holes were misaligned early in the process making some parts much more difficult to connect later. Some holes were drilled out too large so the provided bolts would not catch and tighten. Finally, when I was ready to attach the head board, only two of the necessary six bolts were in the package. I was left sweaty and frustrated and didn't get to sleep on my new bed. I wanted a simple, low platform bed and wasn't willing to pay for a nicer one.     • DO NOT ORDER this bed!!
First of all, let me say that I have purchased and put together (by myself) a lot of furniture off of Amazon. I'm pretty quick and have generally been very satisfied with my purchases. This is the big exception to that rule. This bad was a disaster to put together. The screws and pegs were not clearly labeled and some of them weren't even the correct sizes needed. One of the side panels was split when I pulled it out of the box. It took me almost 2 hours to put the frame together. At that point, I started working on the spindles...only to find that about half of them were the wrong size. Several didn't have the appropriate holes drilled into them. I now have to take the entire bed apart and get it to a UPS store for a return. This is quite possibly the biggest Amazon fail I've ever had. So disappointed. ... show more

Update: It only lasted a few months. I am not a violent sleeper nor did I do anything different on the night this bed caved in on me! The wood material that holds the mattress up is very cheap/thin. It snapped right down the middle. DO NOT RECOMMEND!! So far very happy with this purchase. It did take a while to put together by myself, about 5 hours. So be prepared for that. It also said no power tools, but it would’ve taken double the amount of time to put together if I didn’t use a power drill to secure the planks across the bed for the mattress. It did creek the first few times I laid/sat on it, but I think it was just settling. Also, not all of the poles that are the headboard reached the bottom to secure. Luckily, the mattress/pillows cover that area so you cannot see it. Overall super happy with it. I hope it lasts a long time! ... show more
