I watched video and instruction sheet. I got the bed close to being done but some pieces would not line up to put screws in. I had to take apart a lot of the bed to get pieces to line up and then put back together. The bed slats are very lightweight so my grandson was afraid that they would crack during the night. I might have to go to lumber store to get something more sturdy. My grandson likes the design of the bed. We will see how it goes. ... show more

Everything about this bed was how it was shown. Almost no complaints except for the planks being just a bit too short. They're long enough to hold the mattress. Unless you're violently shaking this bed with a person on top they won't fall. Although, you may take this with grain of salt because I could've not done a measurement right. The weight does not lie. The only problem is it does sit very low to the ground even after putting a 11 inch mattress on it I still needed to get a 9 inch box spring in a box to make it sit higher but overall nice bed frame
