We unpacked the 12" mattress the moment it arrived, put it in a protective mattress encasement, and then allowed it to sit for three days as recommended to completely expand before sleeping on it. Having never slept on a hybrid mattress like this, I might be over critical in my review. Although the mattress materials were soft and attractive, I wonder how well they will hold up over time. I found the firm spring coils to be too near the sleep surface. I could feel them against my hips and shoulders. I purchased a 4" cooling gel pad and found that the very firm mattress softened by the topper, made for very comfortable sleep experience. (Yes, I have the mattress in the correct orientation.) This mattress is probably best suited for beds that have foot boards. Without them, one might be inclined to sit down on one of the corners of the bed. You would not do this twice if you are old enough to have difficulty getting up from the floor. The corners have no weight bearing strength at all. The euro top on this mattress is excellent, providing a well supported sleep surface from edge to edge. Unlike the corners, you can sit down or lay down on the middle edges and enjoy total support. After sleeping on this mattress for two nights, I find it to have no strange odors or manufacturing flaws. I sleep very well on it and wake up refreshed and pain free. This was a worthwhile purchase (with the mattress topper) and I recommend it to anyone looking for firm support at a reasonable price. With the satisfaction guarantee and lifetime warranty, it is hard to go wrong.

I am so happy that I finally found a firm mattress! I have bought two brands of mattresses before this one that had good reviews but turned out to be way too soft. I am so happy that I finally found one that I can sleep through the night without heat build up or sinking into it. It took me only two nights to get used to this mattress which is so much better than it took for the others. With the others I was in pain for an entire week, with this one I felt only slight rib pain for the first two nights most likely because I had been sleeping on to a soft mattress previously and had to get used to a firm mattress again. I have been looking for a mattress to replace a mattress I had for 30 years that was wonderful, I had bought it at furniture factory outlet that is no longer in business so I was on the lookout for one that was a good replacement and I finally found it. The previous mattress I have was a Tempur-Pedic mattress and gave support for my back and I have to say this one does the same. I'm also so happy that I am not getting hot through the night, my bedroom got all the way up to 78° Fahrenheit and I didn't get overheated from the mattress, I did have a fan going but all my other mattresses, I never could make it through the night without having to go put the air conditioner on. I prefer not to have a air conditioner going during the night because then my I start hurting. The fan that I put on I just face it up to the ceiling to just to circulate the air so it's not direct. I also was impressed by the quality of the mattress because other mattresses were made out of material that was cheap material but this mattress is more of of the slick-type material that the older mattresses were made from which makes it easier to clean if I ever needed to. I also put a mattress cover over it that would not overheat, it's made from bamboo and also it would soften a bit more of the mattress because I felt like the mattress was just a little firm for me. I bought the bamboo mattress cover off of Amazon so you can find it also so that you won't also get the mattress to overheat, I used a different mattress cover earlier on this mattress that was supposed to help repel water but I found that I lost the cooling Factor off of this mattress using it so it's important to make sure that if you put a mattress cover over it that you have one that's made of bamboo or something of that sort so it will work with the cooling in the mattress but also protect it. I'm 5'3 and weigh 170 lbs, so it supports an adult without sinking. I left it in my living room for three days to expand fully as the instructions say so I can still sleep in my old bed. I was heavy, my brother had to help me maneuver it to my room down a hall. It's a full size mattress, and the straps worked great for the last part of putting it on my platform. It expanded good and the thickness of height was correct, again the weight though is heavy so get help because that maybe why it took me two days to not wake up with back pain.

The mattress arrived 4 days ahead of schedule. The box is heavy but do-able up to our second floor bedroom. The unboxing and unpacking and setting it up took under 5 minutes. It smells really fresh and wonderful actually. If you live alone it would be worth paying for the delivery and set up to your room. It did take two of us. You have to let the mattress fully rise for 72 hours so we’ll be sleeping on the couch and will update later when we get to actually sleep on it. It was packed really well and the construction appears to be solid. Really really impressed so far and would recommend this company and mattress! UPDATE: We got to sleep on the new mattress last night and I woke up feeling like I had a great nights sleep. I had no hip pain or back pain throughout the night that would typically wake me up on our old mattress. Just thrilled with this new mattress and excited to share our fantastic experience with the whole process-ordering, delivery & set up and now a peaceful and restful nights sleep. I waited a while to write this review to see how it seemed the mattress was going to hold up. And now, I really can't recommend it highly enough, especially for the price. I have hypermobile joints and have suffered from lower back and hip pain for a decade or more. After the first night I slept on this bed, I woke the next morning and stood up pain free for the first time since I can remember. I didn't even think that was a possibility in my life anymore. The mattress is very firm, so that's sth to be aware of if that's not what you're looking for. Definitely a bed you sleep on more than in. If you're a side sleeper, you might want a thin topper to reduce pressure on hips and shoulders but I definitely wouldn't discount this mattress if you are. Also, if motion transfer is a concern, this might not be the best option as the memory foam isn't thick enough to isolate movement, but the springs are strong enough that you're not going to be sucked into a divot made by your partner either. It is very heavy compared to other boxed mattresses I've unpacked in the past. It recommends two people to unpack it. I didn't have anyone to help and managed but it was a struggle and I'm used to moving heavy objects at work, so maybe plan for that if you have mobility or strength issues. Also, due to the weight, I'd be wary of moving it too much by the handles. I heard a few stitches pop when I tried and decided against it but it's not hard to grab the mattress itself and the cover feels durable while also being pleasantly soft. There was very little smell during the expansion period, and not "chemically" either, unlike the memory foam mattresses I've unboxed in the past. I did wait the whole three days before sleeping on it, and I think that's the right call, even though it was almost fully expanded within a few hours, not because of any smell, but only to allow the materials to set and hopefully prolong product life. Honestly I'll never go back to a true memory foam mattress after sleeping on this. Even if it only lasts a few years, it will be worth the money, and so far it is holding up beautifully and I don't foresee any issues

Mattress is firm in a good way. Low back has enough support, I am happy with the firmness, I like that I can sleep on my side without any discomfort. We got 2 Zinus i-coil extra firm hybrid mattresses for the kids few years ago on Amazon which are superbly made, but sadly Zinus discontinued that model. Since that is not available, and we didn’t want to go for an expensive one, and the item description showed a firm level of almost 8, we got this in a 14” firm full size for a small guest bedroom. Two issues we noticed - 1. there is almost no edge support, I am not sure how a mattress could be both firm but has zero edge support at the same time. 2. like other reviewers said, it is smaller by few inches both length and width wise so it keeps sliding around a bit which is annoying, the measurements provided are misleading.
