I have a 13 lb cat, I figured a backpack would be a tight fit, but I didn't realize just how tight. It just doesn't work for my cat, not even close to enough space. I doubt a smaller cat 9-13 lbs would have comfortable enough room either. I ordered this for the tunnel aspect, but it turns out my cat was really uncomfortable with being in it. I felt like I was traumatizing him by forcing him in. I didn't realize he wouldn't like it, but that might just be particular to my cat. Keep in mind its not a super roomy tunnel, even if it does provide more space. Giving it 4 stars because it is a good quality product, just make sure it would actually fit your cat by measuring. ... show more

This is so much better than I expected, it would be a sturdy backpack if you wanted to take your cat with you, and there are openings on almost every side to make it easy to get your cat out. The tunnel comes out on the side where the straps are, you just unzip it, and the straps go to the side and the tunnel comes out from there. The tunnel is a sturdy mesh. There is a removable zelcro pad on the bottom for cleaning and a zipped storage area on one side for snacks or papers. My cats have been playing in it this afternoon. It would be wonderful if taking them camping or some thing else that you want them to be safe but get a little fresh air. It would also be a good carrier just for going to the vet. I have three cats ranging from 9 to 12 pounds and they have all gone through the tunnel and sat on the inside part. Very well-made and a great concept. ... show more

We have two Siberians, and I picked this out wanting some way to transport them on the train, especially at full size. This is an OK option while they’re kittens, and the two of them could sit next to each other, but not lie down. Of course, this is meant for one cat, hypothetically up to 22 lbs/10kg. The build of this seems sturdy enough, but the top strap and the shoulder straps and uncomfortably thin. This is not comfortable on your shoulders, and so I’m mostly using it to carry. The colour and look is good at least. I appreciate that you can collapse the entire thing so easily into a smaller package after you unzip all the sides. I also like that the little tunnel that comes out collapses back in so easily. Though my kitties tend to hate this kind of tunnel. It’s better than no extension at all. This is an all right option for most kitties though. Especially if you’re travelling. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This pet carrier is fantastic!! It has a lot more room in it than I thought it would. My cat Willow is 9 months old and she has so much room in this carrier. I have a large adult cat (20 lbs) that I tested it on too, and she fits so much more comfortably in this than in the traditional/old school pet taxi's. This carrier has a lot more head room than the traditional carriers. This has a lot of mesh on it so I feel like they won't get as claustrophobic in this as opposed to traditional carriers. Of note: it's a strong mesh, though, so it is not easily breakable. I was concerned that it might be too easily collapsible, but this is strong material and feels like it will last nicely. The mat on the bottom of the carrier is made of some hard plastic with a fabric on top, so it is a strong support for your pet. In the video I mistakenly said that there are three zipper openings, but there are actually 4 including the pop-out tunnel as the tunnel has an opening on the end of it as well. I am very happy with this carrier and we will get a lot of happy use out of it. ... show more

This thing is cool. I can take da boi to the vet in style now. He can stretch out in the tunnel, to help not feeling cooped up. I like that it's collapsible. It has a small storage compartment. It's a clever design and the materials and workmanship seem to be very decent. Only the bottom and storage compartment side don't open up. All other sides and top open up. The tunnel opens from between the straps. The reflective strip is something I wouldn't have thought of. The slip connector for expandable luggage handles is a good move, too. This is a high quality cat carrier in every way - the fabric, the zippers, the padding, the straps, you name it. It's very clever, the way it folds up for storage when you aren't using it. Also ingenious is the collapsible play tunnel. If there's a possible downside, it might be that this carrier could be a little small for larger cats, although cats tend to like small, cozy spaces.
