What I like: The 14‑inch thickness gives a substantial “hotel‑bed” feel — you definitely notice the extra height and soft contour compared to my previous mattress. It strikes a comfortable balance: not so soft that you feel like you’ll sink uncomfortably, yet with enough plushness to relieve pressure when side‑sleeping or tossing and turning. Edge support is surprisingly good. Moving toward the edge of the bed doesn’t make me feel like I’ll roll off; the mattress stays stable. Motion isolation is decent. With a partner who moves around, I’ve found I’m less disturbed than on our older mattress. Setup was straightforward: the mattress arrived boxed, unpacked and expanded easily. For what it’s worth, the surface fabric and feel seem fine (no immediate weird smells or manufacturing oddities). What could be better / things to keep in mind: If you were coming from an ultra‑firm mattress, this might feel softer than expected, so if you need maximum back‑support (e.g., for serious lumbar issues) you might still want a slightly firmer model or add a firm mattress pad. Some flippancy in “14‑inch” models: thickness can be a marketing mark. While it feels thick, you do need to verify the base support and how the mattress holds up over time (I haven’t had it long enough for long‑term sagging to show). Heat retention: Because of the added padding layers (especially in medium‑to‑plush mattresses), there is a slight increase in surface heat compared to spring mattress. Break‑in period: Expect maybe a week or two of “get‑used‑to‑it” time. In my first few nights I felt like I was adjusting to a slightly different feel at heel/hip area.

What is amazing to me is that this queen bed came in this little box! I have been suffering from hip pain and cramps in my glutes for quite awhile and decided it was time to get a new bed. I went to a couple of mattress stores and laid on a few beds and decided that medium firm is what I wanted. I am a cheap shopper and can't see spending $1000 on a mattress so I decided to look on Amazon. I looked for days and read reviews (I appreciate all of you reviewers because I am putting my trust in your hands when shopping). I had it down to 5 mattresses and chose Hybrid SIMARTH Queen Size Mattress 12 Inch mainly because of the reviews. It was scheduled to be here on Friday, but came a day early. The box was heavy but manageable. I drug it to my bed and put it on top of my boxspring and rolled it out. It was awkward but I was able to maneuver it around fine. It did not come with a plastic cutter, so I just used my scissors to cut away the plastic. I wish I would have taken a picture of the mattress in the plastic because I thought to myself there was no way that this was going to expand to a queen-sized mattress, but it did. I have to say I enjoyed watching it expand. It was pretty immediate, but wanted to give it at least 30 hours to fully expand. I do want to point out that I have heard people say that there is a smell when foam is compressed, but I didn't notice a smell at all. I didn't put my face in the mattress to test out the theory, but I didn't think I needed to since I didn't smell anything. Last night, I put my mattress pad and sheets on and I was actually a little anxious to go to bed. I was nervous that I would be tossing and turning all night because I know it takes awhile to get used to a new bed. After sleeping for over 7 hours (which is unheard of for me), I have to say that I think this bed is a winner! My hips don't hurt as much as they did yesterday and the cramps in my glutes are almost gone. The mattress isn't as soft as I thought it would be, but I have a feeling it will get a little softer as I sleep on it. It is firm, but no way as firm as the previous firm mattresses that I have had in the past, so that is a good thing, because they were too firm. I also read some reviews that stated the bed wasn't a true queen. This one fit perfectly on top of my queen boxspring. It looks good, and feels even better. All-in-all, I am extremely pleased with this purchase. I just got a good night's sleep for under $200.

So Easy, So Comfortable, True to size. Expands quickly, great quality. We were so please with our purchase of this bed in a bag. We actually purchased a few sizes one for our bedroom and one for our guestroom. Everyone that sleeps over says how comfortable this bed is and when we say it is a bed in a bag from Amazon they are shocked. We love this bed it is very comfortable and does not have us waking up with pain in our neck or our back. Would defiantly buy.
