The media could not be loaded. Pros: I'm very impressed with this cabinet bed. It's well built and feels solid, not like particle board. All the holes line up when assembling and it works perfectly so far. The bed arrives in 2 separate boxes and one of them is almost 100lbs. When assembled, it's a nice piece of furniture with space saving bed. I like the extra drawer with storage for linens and the two folding night stands on the side. Cons: the instructions are literally only pictures and nothing written, so you have to be very careful & pay attention to the small schematics. Overall it took about 3 hours to assemble and two people are best when lifting the pieces to put together. Save yourself some time and have a better grip Allen wrench than the single one provided (we have a multi size one with a full handle). The biggest concern is the middle support section doesn't align by about 3/4" with the main base support section - but does align with the end section - and the only thing holding it flush are the brackets with small screws (pictured). Seeing as this area is right around where you would sit on the side of the bed, I'm hoping this will not break over time. I purchased a separate queen sized 3-fold memory foam mattress (Molblly Folding Mattress, 6 inch... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B1DHK7TP?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) that works well in this cabinet bed. ... show more

I consider myself fairly handy, and I assembled most of it myself. The instructions are terrible. And I get it, it's a relatively cheaper bed. But still... No words, and the pictures are too small. I had to do two revisions along the way. Also some holes were not pre drilled, which of course makes you second guess everything. Lastly the hardware was mixed up, numbering wise, and inconsistent with the identifier number in the manual. The components itself were all labeled which is good, but some were mislabeled, again requiring you to analyze these terribly small pictures to discern what is what. Searched for the best priced queen cube cabinet bed and glad I went with this one. It took my husband about 4 hours to assemble the bed, but the product was exactly as pictured and described. The paint smell is strong, but we are hoping the smell will eventually go away. One piece was mislabeled as opposed to the instructions, but after doing a quick inventory of the pieces we were able to figure out where the piece belonged (was labeled C instead of A). The bed cube was similar to building ikea furniture. Definitely a 2 person job. There were some holes that were not drilled, but we just predrilled in the correct spots and continued on. It's being used as a early used guest space but 2 adults slept comfortably on it.

It’s like working a jigsaw puzzle lots of parts, but it is manageable You do need 2 people to help you out. One of the major problems were that a piece of wood slab they drilled holes in the wrong section so the bed was lopsided so I had to contact Amazon and contact the seller so that they can send me a new piece of wood…. still waiting. Very frustrating we where you’re at that finishing line and we had to stop, like I mentioned before I’m still waiting for the part But I got to say it’s not pretty at all looks very bulky not pretty ... show more

Not any local store options for murphy beds, so of course I'm forced to check Amazon. This was the most reasonably priced unit I found. I'm handy, but this was kind of a bear to put together, took somewhere between 3 or 4 hours with a drill, hammer, wrench and a ratchet doing it alone--I would strongly suggest having help. There was a point in the instructions regarding the frame assembly that was printed incorrectly, but the parts were correct and everything went together fine, if that makes any sense. The trouble is orientation is key with these types of instructions so that tripped me up for a minute. Also, one side of the flip-over base legs wasn't threaded all the way down like it's counterpart and I had to use washers fill in the space that the nut couldn't grab on to. You could use a tap and die set also to continue the threads. Moral of the story is make sure you're good with instructions with no words, and have the ability to improvise because you will likely run into some type of issue. Be careful with the metal banding that surrounds the struts, I cut myself on it. I leveled the sides and mounting points before anchoring to the wall and still have uneven gaps on the side of the unit. Oh well, not really too many options at this price. Comes in three boxes and the big box is HEAVY, use caution moving into your home. Even with all of the assembly detractors and fit and finish issues, I am happy with the unit. But next time I might take a chance building the frame myself. ... show more
