I spent awhile trying to find a perfect headboard with storage. I’m happy I chose this one! I was nervous about wood slats because I had metal before. It does not squeak and is sturdy. Turned on some movies while I put it together by myself and it took two movies, so about 3-4 hours. The mattress does not slide. Instructions are easy to follow. Perfect size. The storage is very easy to hook onto the bed, it’s one bolt you latch onto the bed. It's good. Exactly as shown in the pictures. Fairly easy to assemble, took me 3 hours by myself so with help you could probably finish in less than 2. The tricky part for me was screwing together the metal frame work I think it was like step 4 or 5. With two people that would have been much easier. All the parts and pieces were there and I even had extras. It comes with the tools you need so you don't need any additional tools in order to put it together. Only thing that would make this bed frame better is if the draws had fabric/metal/wooden handle and that they are on a track instead of just free floating in subspace under the bed. The headboard shelf is not as deep as i was expecting so just be aware of that. I put my roku remote so you can see how much space there actually is there. Five stars for this one! It's sturdy, quiet, and looks way more expensive than it is. The storage drawers are super convenient and actually hold a lot. Assembly took a little time but was totally worth it for the result. Highly recommend!

If I could give NO stars I would. I got this specifically for a teen who wanted to charge his devices above and not have a nightstand. The bed destroyed a charger right when we got it. We unplugged it and were just using it for a bed. A friend of teen plugged it in so they could use it to charge their phone. The charger BURNED. It tripped a breaker and almost sent me straight to the looney bin because I could NOT figure out why the breaker wouldn’t flip back over. I had to call an electrician who asked me to unplug everything in the room and try. When I unplugged the bed and tv it flipped over. It’s Clear this bed is unsafe and I am now going to have to go to my drs for some anti anxiety medication!! But on a serious note, this is not ok. At all. Immediate action needs to be taken before someone’s house catches fire. ... show more

My daughter ordered this for her room, she is 18. The drawers are pretty flimsy when you pull them open... its kind of more for storage you don't regularly use. But it's pretty. The rest of it is pretty sturdy! The drawers are basically baskets with wheels...
