We didn't want to pay $500+ for a bed frame, but we wanted something nice. I know other reviews mentioned assembly. This took around an hour, maybe a little less to put together with two people. I think this would be difficult to put together alone. If you're determined, you could do it, but it is nice to have someone hold things while you screw them together. A couple of the steps were mixed up in the directions, but it was pretty easy to figure out. If you have minimal experience putting together IKEA furniture, you'll be fine with this. It's not particularly hard, you just probably need some extra hands. This should go without saying but obviously put this together where you want the bed to be, you don't want to move it later. I think some reviews mentioned you need space to build it but we just built it in the bedroom and set it up where it needed to be. There was an area where the bar wouldn't fit and I had to loosen some other screws to get it in there (second to last photo). It was frustrating but again, didn't take too long. They suggest you attach the outlets to the shelf, but there are no holes to do so. It sits in there just fine so we didn't attach it (see last photo). Which was a good thing because the steps after that were the ones that were mixed up, and it would have been a pain. So far the outlets work great, we use them to charge phones. There's not as much under the bed height as I would have liked, but we wanted a lower bed so our old dog could jump up on it. you can still fit bins under the bed easily enough. I really like the shelves, they're wide enough for essentials like phones, glasses, and Halloween decor. You could maybe fit some books on it but they'll hang over the edge and might get knocked off. The fake wood is pretty sturdy. I don't love the color but it is growing on me. The bed itself has been able to handle two people and two dogs without concern. It squeaks a bit when it moves but I haven't been concerned that it was going to fall apart. The box came damaged but the stuff inside was fine. ... show more

Easy to put together and better quality then I expected. The weight limit isn't very high, so that's a bummer. But overall good for my 11 year old. We'll probably have to upgrade before high school, but we're happy with it. Great value for the money and I was pleasantly surprised by how good the quality of the wood is. ... show more

I bought these beds for my 2 children and it was very easy to assemble the beds are beautiful they have a space to store things...the only thing you have to put on the legs of the bed is something to keep it from rolling after that I am very satisfied with the purchase.

The bed in the pictures looked really good and is sturdy but there are several things wrong with it from an overall point of view. We were unhappy with the product at every step of the way. 1. The product was delivered at our apartment building gate and not at the door. We had to lug it all the way to the fourth floor. Nowhere it was mentioned that this will be left at the gate. 2. It took me a whopping >3 hours to assemble the bed because of the way it was designed. The bolts were in the most inconvenient locations and the tools provided were largely insufficient. For example a ratchet wrench would have made assembly at least 5 times easier and the wrench for tightening the wheels to the underside drawers was the incorrect size altogether. 3. Moreover the wheels themselves do not function as they should - the motion on the wheels is super tight and the adjusting the lock makes no difference whatsoever 4. The drawers do not sit flush with the frame and protrude either outside blocked by the bolts (picture attached) or go all the way ONLY on one side if not pushed the right way. The drawers were NOT made for this bed in particular and seem like unrelated components which have a similar look 5. The board on the front is attached only at the extremities and is loose at the center (picture attached) The only good thing was that it was delivered on time. Ideally we would like to return the bed, but I simply do not have the patience to spend another couple of hours dismantling the damn thing and lugging it back to a shipping store, that too in the original packaging which has lost its integrity during shipping. I guess I am stuck with it now. Not happy! ... show more
