The part was easy to install myself and works great. It looks almost identical to the original flush handle. I never put on a flush handle before and Amazon described even the REVERSE INSTRUCTION WHEN TIGHTENING IT. ALSO THE OTHER INSTRUCTION MENTIONED there was a front toilet handle and a side handle which i didnt realize. It cost only the price of the handle and it is easy to install. Part of my Kohler toilet's flush arm cracked and the handle no longer raised the flush arm. The only way to flush is the lift off the tank cover and pull the chain connected to the flush arm. I didn't want to go to a big box store to look for an original replacement and ordering by mail would take a few days. So I took a chance at this somewhat universal handle/flush arm. This comes with two gaskets. One is for the outside for the handle and the other is for inside the thank. I tried connecting this as instructed but it doesn't exactly fit. Mainly, there is a gasket between the handle and outer tank. There is also a gasket for the inner tank. I think that because I own an older toilet (around 2001), that must not be todays standard size. The inner tank connection worked fine. But the square part that connects to the outer tank is too large for my Kohler model. Instructions said to remove the outer gasket. But that doesn't work either then the flush push of the handle doesn't feel smooth. I decided to just use the outer gasket and though doesn't fit exactly, keeps the handle in place and still allows a smooth feel each time the lever is used. My Kohler toilet handle was malfunctioning so found this as a replacement. It is far superior to the one that came with the original unit. Brass bendable arm can be easily bent to whatever specifications needed to fit in the tank and connect to drain plug. The screw on mechanism and handle are first class and operate perfectly. I cannot exaggerate how terrible this cheap toilet flusher is. First of all the pictures shown are a lie. This is not a brass bar as it appears in the photos, so it is false advertising from the beginning. What comes is the same handle with the metal bar made of some type of extremely brittle and cheap alloy that breaks like it is made of glass. The water fill unit in my toilet tank was slightly in the way. The bar is supposed to be able to bend if needed. I went to bend it to the shape of my toilet tank and it broke at the base. I pulled the broken part off and stuck the now shorter bar back in the base and it cracked the plastic on the handle but it still seemed like it was going to work even though cracked. Ok fine. So I installed the handle but the tip of the bar was now impacting the front of the tank. Ok, I just needed to do a gentle bend where the holes are to clear the tank so I could attach the chain. I went to ever so gently bend the tip just 10 degrees or so and SNAP! It broke right at the shortest hole leaving no holes left to connect a chain. Trust me, don't buy this garbage. It is made of cheap looking plastic and garbage metal. I found a nice chrome unite that pivots inside the handle itself and has a brass bar. The new unit was a little less than twice the price but well worth the money and looks and feels 10 times better. Do not buy this garbage. Look for a better quality unit and save yourself the trouble and money that I wasted. ... show more
