  • Good for campus commuting, especially if you have hills
Color: Black
I bought this to get around my campus. My commute is about 10 miles each way and there are a lot of hills, so I needed something that could handle climbs without wearing me out. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and probably have close to 100 miles on it so far. The acceleration helps a lot, especially when starting on a hill or when lights turn green. It can get up to about 28 mph on flat ground, but I usually cruise around 24–26 mph to save battery. Going uphill is honestly much easier than I expected. I used to dread some of the hills on campus, but now they’re really not a big deal. The fat tires and dual suspension make a big difference on rough roads and uneven paths around campus. Some of the roads here are pretty bad, and my old bike felt like a shopping cart on those sections. This one is much smoother and doesn’t beat you up on longer rides. One thing I didn’t expect is how comfortable the seat is. A lot of bike seats are small and pretty hard, and after a while they start to hurt. This seat is actually really comfortable — honestly it feels more like a small couch than a bike seat. I’m not saying I would watch a movie on it, but it’s close. I went with the 20Ah battery and for my riding it lasts about two days before I need to charge. I use the throttle quite a bit, so if you use more pedal assist you’ll probably get more range than I do. Charging from low to full takes around 5–6 hours for me. The riding position is comfortable and I can see around me easily, but it still feels stable when going faster downhill. The handlebars feel solid, and so far nothing has come loose or started rattling. I did have to adjust the rear brake after the first week. It wasn’t a big problem, but if you’ve never adjusted bike brakes before, you’ll probably want to watch a quick video. After I tightened it a bit, it felt much better. Assembly was mostly straightforward, but installing the front wheel by yourself was a little tricky because you have to line up the brake rotor with the caliper. It’s doable alone, but it definitely would have been a 5-minute job if I had a second person helping instead of trying to hold everything at the same time. So far, so good. It’s made getting around campus a lot easier, and it definitely beats trying to find parking every day. ... show more

  • good for me
Color: Black
I’m a college student and got this mostly for getting around. I’ve been using it pretty often and honestly I like it a lot. It feels really stable when riding and the suspension is nice, especially on roads that aren’t completely smooth. The speed is more than enough for what I need and it’s just really fun to ride. Battery has been good so far too. I usually do shorter rides, so I haven’t tested the full range yet, but I don’t have to charge it after every ride. I’ve been riding it way more than I expected. It’s made getting around a lot easier and I’m really happy with it so far. ... show more

  • Worked... until it didn't - UNSAFE instructions
Color: Black
First things first, I'd like to WARN EVERYONE that the manufacturer instructions are woefully lacking on this bike. Please watch my video and/or others on proper instruction or you could wind up hurt like we did. The bike is not terrible. It delivers decent power on the throttle, and pedal assist is sufficient. Sure, some of the components are sub-par: despite working on mountain bikes for years I couldn't get the derailleur quite right and cable brakes instead of hydraulic on something that weighs this much is a notable omission (you won't be stopping quickly). But see the video review: some of the most important details about wheel retention are omitted. It caused the front wheel to come loose, and my son to get in a very significant bike crash. Would recommend buying from a reputable brand like Ride1Up or Super73. ... show more

  • Really nice ride
Color: Black
Have 200 miles on this bike. It’s a good ride and has decent speed and miles with the one battery. Definitely not a fun to pedal but is great as an alternative for a moped. As a 250 pound guy it holds up with my weight. Assembly was pretty easy. I tend to get a lot of compliments on the overall look as well. ... show more

  • Great E-Bike, Difficult Assembly
Color: Black
This is an amazing e-bike for the price. Right out of the box, it looks and feels very sturdy and well built. It doesn’t feel cheap at all. The design is a perfect blend of a motorcycle and a bicycle, which gives it a really unique look. The main reason I can’t give it 5 stars is the assembly process. The bike came with no written instructions, so I had to rely on the assembly video. The video moves pretty quickly, so I had to pause and rewind it several times. Mounting the front wheel and a few other parts took longer than expected. (I’m not assembly savvy at all and I assembled by myself) Once assembled, the performance really made up for it. The bike rides beautifully. The suspension is great, the ride is smooth, and it works well as both a regular bicycle and an electric bike. I usually ride around up to 16 mph in the city, which feels comfortable and controlled. In more open rural areas, I’ve been able to reach speeds up to around 28 even 30 mph. My only other complaint is the weight. This is not a lightweight bike, especially with the battery attached. I live in a small apartment with stairs, so carrying it up and down can be a struggle, even with the battery removed. Overall, despite the difficult assembly and heavy frame, this is an excellent e-bike with great performance, a smooth ride, and a premium feel for the price. I would definitely recommend it. Please remember this bike dips in the seat so it will be a lower ride I'm 5’11 with long legs so I had to get used to the lower seat (not adjustable) not a con just something to note, I got used to it after 2 rides. ... show more

  • Low power
Color: Black
I like the looks of the bike. Fairly comfortable. Was pretty easy to assemble other than they do t tell you that the front wheel has two different sized bushings. Took me an extra hour of taking things apart and adjusting before I realized this. If you are sitting on the bike, the wider bushing goes to the right side. The front brake was rubbing so hard it was almost locking the front wheel. So I had to do a bunch of internet searching and figuring out on my own how to readjust and figure the front brakes. It’s really slow on the take off and if you let off the throttle it takes a while to get back up to speed. As far as speed. I’m 5’11” 200 lbs. I think I hit 28 mph once while going downhill. 25 is about the average top speed I could run. Also, Igot 13 miles out of a fully charged battery. And when the battery is dying it just gives little bursts of energy. Thankfully it has pedals, but I’d hate to have to rely on those. This thing is a tank and I just peddled it home for a few blocks, it wore me out. I really like the thing but I wish these issues didn’t exist. It’s sturdy, fun to ride. But I can’t say I’d recommend it. ... show more

  • Budget friendly and really fun!
Color: Black
Okie dokie so here's the sitch. It arrived 3 days early. And so far I've had it for 2 weeks and I've put 75 miles on it. It does come stock at 15 mph but all you gotta do is undo a connection under the seat and you've got more speed. I'm 6"1 and 210 lbs and I can get it up to 23 or 25. Which is fine for me. I'm very comfortable on this bike. Now for battery life. If you leave it stock. It's gonna last you quite awhile. I left it stock for a week to see and I cruised around my town for a few hours each day and only had to charge it twice. If you disable the speed limit. You can still cruise for 3 or 4 hours. But your gonna need to charge it every time you're done riding. I've had a blast riding it. And would definitely recommend it if your wanting something fun, reliable and on somewhat of a budget. ... show more

  • Fantastic ride
Color: Black
It's a stellar ebike! I wanted one that didn't look too stupid and it fit the bill. I couldn't wait to ride it immediately out of the box and even then, I got a solid 2 hours of riding out of it! Mind you, that's also with the occasional pedaling to save on power. It's a heavier bike for sure, so this won't be a friendly option for lugging up stairs. The battery itself is hefty, but not unbearable. Assembly was pretty easy, they give you all of the tools you need, but I did run into a snag with the front fender where the bolt was clogged by dust buildup or cardboard and I had to clean it out with a pen before I could fit the allen key in. Just something to keep in mind if you also come across that! Now, for the fun part: you can absolutely increase it's speed. Another reviewer has already shown how, but first, make sure the governer cable isn't clipped together under the seat. Then, after you turn on the ignition key, flip the left indicator on and off, and flash the headlights 8 times. The screen will then show a sequence of numbers like 000020--that's your speed! Flipping the blinker to the right will slowly increase it up to 50 (for your safety, don't go that high lol), and vice versa, left will decrease it. After that, you can turn it off and on again and it will retain that speed memory. Another thing to keep in mind, you will only see that max speed get reached on gear 3 (the left controls that handle the speed). Also remember that weight and incline will affect your speed, so chances are you won't see yourself reach the max easily. But it's got a decent amount of power to it, which makes getting uphill a godsend. ... show more
