The filament feeding mechanism seizes frequently making a loud whining noise. It is binding inside the box itself, not the filament hub, PTFE tube, or print head. I had this problem since I opened the box, it has never worked. I had thought mabe it would work better once I printed the riser, but I never managed to print it successfully and now it's outside the return window. I eventually used my Bambu A1 to print the riser, but it's kind of pointless since the Qidi is not working anyway.

I think the negative comments are for version 1 of the Qidi Box. Got mine for Christmas. It’s the second version. Paired with my year old Plus 4 and it has been flawless. I’ve done 2 day multicolor prints with no errors.

Don't waste your time if pairing it with a QiDi Plus4, it will simply give you headache after headache. The printer will stop working because of a "tangle" and there will be no tangle. Simply have to press start again and it goes back to printing. I have yet to print a two color object without having to clear the extractor and the hotend. Worthless at this point.

Works perfectly. I like the ability to dry yhe filament while printing, unlike the bambu solution. Its easy to assemble, and I had it up and running in under 10 minutes.

Wanted to like it, but unit arrived nicely packaged and looked good, but after installing all the parts for it the box would not power on so therefore, I am returning it for a full refund and maybe try again later in the future if the product becomes useable.

Do not buy. I purchased the Qidi Box through Qidi’s website and it never worked properly. Qidi has sent me replacement parts for months to get it to work without causing jams but noting has worked. For awhile it was still able to print single material prints, but while working with support, filament got stuck inside the box itself. I wanted to return the box, but they insisted they could get it to work. It has been over 6 months, countless repairs and the support team just shifts me through different people.

I really wanted to like this, but it’s been harder to print with than just running filament off a roll in the back. Like others have mentioned, multi‑color printing has been a constant struggle. The one time it ran out of material mid‑print, it refused to reload from a different spool and the entire job was lost. When it works, it does look great and the machine itself is pretty, but the reliability just isn’t there. For the price, I wish I had gone with a Bambu instead. I’d recommend choosing something else.
