I bought this small amp for my Herdio speakers for outdoor use. For the price and the features this thing offers is great! I like that it has a radio, I usually stream all my music so this feature is nice to have. It comes with a remote but it doesn’t control the volume. That’s probably the only thing I don’t like about it, you have to adjust from the receiver. The remote controls the mode and you can also switch the radio stations. Startup: My unit volume output was very low (quiet). Turns out the “talkover” button was pressed (down & too the right from main power toggle). Pushed the button and all better Selecting FM for the input. The dial on the far right is what I use to choose between phono and FM. FOR PHONO: turn the dial all the way to the right (sort of labelled phono/CD) FOR FM: turn two clicks to the right from phono. There is another click past. Labelling isn’t very clear. FM notes The antenna fits inside the port labelled FM antenna above the speaker connections FM stations can be found by manually entering the station. 885 will get you FM 88.5 station. Someone else already mentioned that the power switch toggle on the front will reset the unit and you may have to scan the channels again. So turn it off with the remote and you will be happier. Presets Turn unit on Select FM using mode button (just to right of power switch, labelled “mode”) Press the scan button (4 over to the right of the mode button, labelled with what I would call a “play/pause” icon) It will then find and label every station is finds starting at 87.5, first station is channel 1, and so on until it loops past 107.9. It will put you on Channel 1 station. Yes, annoying that you can’t self define. ... show more

I was a bit disappointed at first, upon seeing the cheap plastic knobs, but the sound quality was pretty good, so I continued to go through the functions. I found them awkward to use, and somewhat limiting, since I saw that you couldn't use the remote control's volume feature to adjust the volume when in Phono mode. The remote also couldn't switch the inputs. All this needed manual intervention. When turned on, it defaults to asking for Bluetooth, and to use my turntable I needed to skip that (manually) every time. You would think that they could default you to your last settings, but not for this price. I liked the price - but you get what you pay for. After a couple of minutes trying to figure out the above mentioned nuances, the unit died. No sound at all. I just returned it immediately. Nobody needs this grief. I'll go ahead and order a grown-up receiver from a more mature manufacturer. ... show more

I bought this primarily to use for sound for my computer, but it's also hooked to my flat screen TV. It's connected by Bluetooth to the laptop. Connection was easy and instant and it never drops out (so far). The TV is connected to the aux inputs and it was also a piece of cake to hook up. The speakers i'm using are old Jensen 3-way, 8ohm with 10" woofers. They were high end audio in the '70s and they still sound awesome. This little amplifier drives them with no problem with clear, clean highs and bass that will rumble the floor if i crank it up. So far (i've had it one day) i'm happy with it. I haven't tried the radio yet but most of the radio i listen to is on the internet anyway so it doesn't matter much to me. I tried out the usb input with a flash drive and that sounds good as well. Haven't tried the Mic inputs or the SD input yet. The unit is well made and sturdy and all the controls feel good....and i appreciated the power switch on the front. In the "minus" column would be; > The track selector for usb goes only up or down in selection and no metadata is displayed, so you can't browse the drive for specific tunes. > When you connect to Bluetooth, there are 2 loud connection chimes that play through the speakers....VERY LOUDLY! The only way to defeat this is to turn the volume on the amp to 0 whenever you turn it or the computer on. > The volume control dial has no pointer, so you can't tell where it's set. The indicators in the other dials are just notches...difficult to see. I think i can solve those problems with a bit of white-out. > The EQ function is of little use. Some of the settings seem to be of no use for any application. The 2 i use most are "Jaz" (boosts high and low frequencies) and what appears to say "nO .-" which i assume is the flat setting. Overall, it was a good deal IMO. Excellent sound, easy to hook up and it takes up very little space on the desktop. Update 11/7/20; The unit has begun randomly shutting down. Every now and then the sound cuts off and the display goes dark. If i restart it with the power switch it works for a while and then does it again. Too bad, i loved the sound and functionality, but it's just not reliable. I'm returning this unit. Update 11/9/20; Ok, i really want to like this thing. Except for a couple of glitches with the Bluetooth, i think it's a good deal. It hasn't shut itself down recently and the display has remained on consistently. The sound is really good and the various functions seem to work as they should. I'm gonna hang on to this for a while and see how it goes. I'll update if there are any changes or if this goes toes up and i either send it back or trash it. ....so far i'm enjoying the sound. ... show more

I was skeptical that I could get a receiver at this price point which would not only be able to be used to play vinyl records, which is why I needed a receiver, but to play from my phone, from an SD card, from USB, from the radio, etc. It comes with a remote control, also. I won't get much, if any use, from the microphone inputs but there are two and each of those mic inputs has a few controls. I am really enjoying this and I have only had it for a few days!! ... show more
