I added these speakers to my garage as part of a whole house audio distribution system as I did not feel the need to place particularly high fidelity speakers in the garage. I have much more expensive in-ceiling speakers located in almost every room in my home as well as for my 7.1 home theater. I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the sound produced by these Pyle speakers given the very very reasonable price (at the time of review they were only ~ $39/pair for the 6 1/2” dia speakers). This was several times less than the cost of my other speaker pairs. Given the inherent limitations of in-ceiling speakers, these speakers perform nearly as well as my more expensive in-ceilings and is more than adequate to keep me entertained when I am working on projects in my garage. I coupled these with a Pyle impedance matching Decora style slider volume control and although bass is somewhat limited (as is expected with 6 1/2” in-ceiling speakers) the sound quality is very good with clear midrange and highs (and adequate bass) for my use case. The only problem that I encountered which was quickly resolved by Pyle, was with the warranty. These speakers come with a certificate that clearly states it is for a Lifetime Warranty. However, after scanning the QR code and registering the speakers, I received an email verification that I was receiving the “standard 3 year warranty”. After contacting Pyle (there is no customer service phone number and everything has to be done through email) and sending in the photograph of the certificate along with my invoice, the next day I received an email that I would be given the lifetime warranty but that I needed to keep the certificate available should I require warranty service. Kudos to Pyle for the quick response and for correcting the problem (although IMHO you should not have to go through the hassle as I used the QR code printed on the certificate itself 😂 and would have preferred to by able to speak to a rep directly, rather than waiting and hoping they would answer my email). My Pyle volume controller also can with a certificate that states that it came with a 5 year warranty. I am curious to see if the same thing happens and it gets reduced to a 3 year “standard” warranty 😝. At any rate, hopefully needing to utilize either warranty will not become necessary and this will be a moot point (my other in-ceiling speakers from a different company have been in constant use for over 25 years now and still work flawlessly). ... show more

I installed 6 of these between the bedrooms laundry room and hallway. I also purchasex a pair of ceiling speakers from bestbuy for 150. I got 6 of these pyles for 116. In terms of sound, they both are great. Somehow the pyles sound just as good as the best buy speakers that were way more expensive. Now the best buy ones are heavier and much higher quality materials. The install on those were much better too. The drywall flap things that tighten them was night and day. The pyles were for sure cheaper and a bigger pain and also look no where near as good. The metal grills are a pain to take off and put back on after the install. The best buy ones were a breeze. That being said, i would buy the pyles again due to the cost and sound. I can look past the install as its more of a minor inconvenience. For sure would recommend. The highs lows and mids are great. Somehow everyroom sounds like they have a subwoofer a long with this speaker. I love em. ... show more
