Bought another one since I needed it for my music room

  • You get what you pay for - great for studio / entry level mic stand
Style: Boom
Ok so I'll start off by saying I have been gigging enough to know what a quality mic stand is...this is not one of those. However for the price its perfect for a cheap stand for your studio that isn't going to get much use or banged around. I would not put anything heavy on it as the adjustment is not going to be able to hold it. You have to be careful to have it setup right or its really wobbly. I'm not sure that I would buy it again for my use case but I'd consider it for someone who wasn't sure they were going to use it long term and needed something super cheap to get the job done. ... show more

  • Mic stand for singing drummer
Style: Boom
Just arrived today so cannot review it's longevity. It is exactly as described. Will be used to hold a microphone for a singing drummer. Seems like it will be good for at home practice but does not look like it will stand up to gigging, travel or constant disassembly/reassembly but I could be wrong. Assumed the end of the boom would have been weighted to counter balance the weight of a mic but it is not. Easy fix. It is what I expected at this price point. ... show more

  • Inexpensive

This mic stand was on sale for basically $17. It will do the job for sure. Only issue I had was one of the mic cord clips broke almost immediately after unpacking. I applied very little energy to remove the clip from the stand when it snapped in half. Again, $17. Not the end of the world, but it seemed pretty low quality. All in all, I'm good with the purchase. ... show more

  • the boom couldn't hold up my microphone. :(

It's stable, but I have to use a counter weight to hold up my microphone.

  • It's a mic stand, what more do you need.
Style: Boom
Sadly, after only 4 clips and unclips the larger XLR cable clips snapped. Little to no un-necessary force was applied. It just snapped under the brittleness of the plastic. From 5 stars, to 4 stars. If shorter than 4 weeks from now, any other components break, I will give it a 1 star. Pleasantly surprised at the weight of the mic stand; it has a small form factor for easy transportation and is fairly well built. It has some plastic bits where you lock the mic and where the second shaft is adjustable (plastic does not feel that strong) but if you're on a budget and are careful, this mic stand does the job just fine. I do recommend this as a B stand for a 'just in case can replace' situation such as indie, documentary, run and gun and other high traffic high break-ability situations. Do i recommend this for a long life, no. If you are professional, choose something else. But for beginners or people who want to be able to constantly be able to replace their mic stands this should be just fine. ... show more

Make no mistake. The price matches the quality. This stand is rickety at best. Good for home rehearsing. I do not recommend using this for a gig. It's wobbly and simply not sturdy enough.
