    • Good portable PA for small events
I needed a small portable PA speaker for a small outdoor event so though I would give this one a go. Great choice! The speaker has a good sound and works well outdoors, plus it is light and easy to carry around from spot to spot. It won't work for anything and everything, but it works well enough for small venues with a few people or outdoor spaces when everyone is within 30 feet of it. The microphone that comes with it works...but it is not great. That said, it connects without needing any other cables or devices, so if you aren't going to use it a ton...it will probably get the job done. If you do have the means, and you want a better sound, I recommend hooking up a better mic system using the Line in AUX jack. Speaking of which...my biggest annoyance with this speaker is the incredibly loud voice that tells you the unit is on, and which mode it is in. No way to turn it down...and it is LOUD. So if you are going to use this speaker, get it set up before anyone arrives, or place it horn down onto the ground anytime you turn it on or change modes. And on the topic of modes, I have had no problems connecting to this speaker via Bluetooth. Last, the battery life has been good. I have had this thing working for several hours of continuous use on multiple occasions with no problem whatsoever. This speaker has become a useful friend when working on projects outside the house, as it provides me with the stream of beats I need to be productive in the backyard. Sounds good, works good.     • This is a great blue tooth speaker
I bought this speaker so I could DJ at my nephew's wedding. It turns out to be one of the best things I've bought! I used my Kindle Fire to play the music play list. The speaker played the music sufficiently loudly without even being turned up to full volume. The battery life was great! No issues at all. The Bishop used the microphone to perform the wedding (we weren't planning on using the microphone, but it worked fantastically). I have used this many times since and have been very pleased with it. A few cautions: when you're playing music and you use the microphone, it reduces the volume of the music, so it could make a karaoke type situation a bit difficult. If you want to use several devices with the speaker, Bluetooth connectivity can get dicey, especially if there is a second source that the speaker has been connected to and can detect close by. You will need to forget the Pyle on the other device before connecting to the new device. The documentation is not very extensive, but the learning curve (even if you figure things out by trial and error) is certainly not difficult. All in all, this is a very good speaker, with very good sound, and pretty decent battery life. ... show more

You need to buy a separate mic with connecting BT device, like BIETURN or TONOR. coz the mic they give u for free is very ineffective, poor connection, repeated breaks in sound. The speaker is perfect, quickly connects to BT. We use it for lectures to participants in a hall, sound is perfect. Charge time is 4 hours and it goes for 5 hours easily for us. ... show more

    • EXACTLY WHAT WE WERE LOOKING FOR!!
PROS: MP3 sound quality was EXCELLENT both from our San-Disk 32-gig flash-drive & from our Acer Laptop, despite some of the other reviews we read. Extremely light (under 7 lbs.) featuring a recessed top carry handle. Plugged it in as soon as we received it to refresh the rechargeable batteries. We don't use our cellphones for music, so can't comment on that feature (it does have a line in aux jack for that option however). Digital view screen toggles from Line-In to Bluetooth to USB function, and features a repeat songs option if desired. Fast Forward or Reverse options as well. Wireless microphone worked great (as long as you're not directly in front of the speaker), and with a little practice, we were instant Karaoke singing sensations in our own minds.....love that you can adjust the volume from the music source AND the microphone separately. Also has a separate 1/4" Mic input if you wanted to add additional microphones to it. This system gets plenty LOUD for an outdoor backyard event, pool party, or a community room! We are seniors that have never connected our laptop to any Bluetooth device before........ so we discovered you MUST power on the PYLE PSBT65A and toggle the display button to read "blue" - THEN let your PC's Bluetooth settings pair with it. Unit also has a tripod insertion crevice built-in on the bottom. As with any rechargeable batteries, if you aren't going to be using it for an extended period of time, it's a good idea to plug the PYLE Speaker in occasionally, just to keep them from fully discharging over time. CONS: Wish it had a "shuffle" feature when using a Flash Drive - BUT our laptop shuffles our playlists on it's own. ... show more

    • Surprisingly loud with great features
The Pyle Bluetooth Karaoke PA Speaker provides plenty of volume for such a small and inexpensive package. Sound quality is excellent, and it's easy to sync the speaker with a bluetooth source. The microphone connects separately from the bluetooth source and has separate controls for volume and echo. I've used this for meetings and parties and highly recommend it. ** Update: After 13 months of light use, the microphone no longer reliably connects to the speaker. When it does connect, the speaker sometimes emits a loud crackling sound that's distracting for the presenter and audience. I had to order a corded microphone to replace the included wireless one. ... show more
