I was afraid the clips would be too tight for me to replace the strap myself, but it was very easy. The leather is high quality. The black color is true and works perfectly with the purse I have. I am able to wear this purse to a wedding now! I am on the short side, so I needed to have a cobbler add a couple of holes to the strap to adjust it to my height, but I think the length is probably perfect for most people.

This piece fit my needs quite nicely. I'd purchased a small, vintage purse (about 7" × 5"), which didn't come with a strap. This replacement strap appears to be genuine leather (as advertised) and is easily hip length without any adjustment (can adjust if needed). It's an elegant, slim crossbody strap and solid quality for the price. However, it's only about a half inch wide, which just won't do for bigger purses, visually or for peace of mind with any serious weight. The hardware is also a bit large, considering the delicate design of the strap. While I love the overall look, it's a bit much. I would give this piece 4.5 stars if I could and will keep it bookmarked for future reference, just in case. I would purchase again, without hesitation.

Although the strap comes folded, the leather is very supple and releases out of the folds quickly. Leather is very supple, nicely pebbled, solid stitching, and good thickness. Black hardware blends in well. Quality is such that I would buy again.
