Historically I am 100% back sleeper and this pillow is the best I've ever come across for support, comfort and temperature. Exceptional quality. Then I had back surgery and was forced to sleep on my side for a period and I can add that it is also as good as it gets as a side sleeper. Somehow it is the perfect amount of give and support with a uniquely sumptuous feel. Sounds like I'm getting paid to endorse but it's only that I rarely review anything unless it's absolutely awful or so good I have to share and this is the latter. Personally, I landed on the TALL i.e. thicker profile after trial and error. The tall is plush but with exactly the right amount of give and support. I would say some folks love down and want to shape and fluff their pillow. But if you're outside that box and looking towards any kind of foam or latex, give this a try. After years of searching for the right pillow, ending up having spent thousands of dollars and throwing them all into a mountain by my bed, at last I have found the perfect pillow! I read good reviews, and that is why I was willing to pay $260 for one pillow. Far more than I could have ever imagined spending on a pillow. But I have to say that it is worth every red cent! I am lying on my bed on my new pillow at 5 PM, I don’t think I will ever get up! I ordered two, and the other will be delivered later today or tomorrow. I was skeptical to buy a pillow for almost $200 but based on the reviews, I thought I'd give it a go. So far, I have not been disappointed. I am a back, stomach sleeper and go the 'medium' loft. Was initially concerned that I should have got the lower loft version, but it's been fine. Better than fine. No neck pain, or rather significantly reduced neck pain. Overall I love this pillow. I'm a terribly restless side sleeper, I get too hot and I've tried at least 30 pillows over the years. Its like goldilocks- too hard, too hot, too soft, no support, too big, too small... I think this pillow is finally "the one"! HOWEVER it is definitely not a cooling pillow. It doesn't get as hot as memory foam in my opinion, and it does cool off fast (you can flip it over) but that is the only reason I took off a star in the rating (although I would have given it 4.5 if I could) as I think that is a falsehood. for normal sleepers though, I bet they wouldn't notice. the biggest plus for me is that it does not compress so you end up with a bent neck, but it also doesn't get hard and provides enough support and although not cooling, it doesn't retain any more heat than "normal" . Buy this pillow- despite the expense I bet you won't regret it. I do wish I had tried the tall.. but I am pretty happy with the medium. I might just buy myself a 2nd (tall). ... show more

I love this pillow. No pain. WooHoo! Yes, it's expensive. Yes, it's worth it. I have an eyeball autoimmune disease, major headaches, degenerative disc disease, and a couple of herniated discs. I used Tempurpedic contour pillows for about 15 years but finally gave up on them due to material changes in hardness and I was shoving the pillow into my painful eyeball during sleep. I tried all of the trendy pillows on Amazon, other regular pillows from department stores and plain old latex. I liked the latex but it had a little too much push back. This one is just right because it alleviates some of that push back... Just enough that I have no problems with it pushing on my eyeball if I dig my head into it. I tried the low loft at first because I figured I was so used to my low Tempurpedic. Nope. Changed to standard loft and it was fine. I also tried the smaller size at first. Not good enough. Ended up with the king size. I should have just gone for this one first instead of spending months hoping the cheaper ones would work. ... show more

Let me begin by saying that I'm a sleeper. I love doing it, I do it a lot, and it's important to me. I've been on the hunt for years seeking out the perfect pillow. I have allergies, so feathers are out. Those inexpensive down alternative ones are fine for a bit, but quickly become lumpy and flat. I've tried the more expensive ones filled with shredded memory foam (Co-op), where you can add or subtract foam to your liking. My liking has never been achieved; they are always either too firm or too soft, somehow sometimes in the same night? Idk. We recently went shopping for a new mattress and at the mattress store the clerk gave me one of these Purple pillows to walk around with while trying out the mattresses. Holy hell, this thing was amazing! It's weird, honeycomb squish hit me in all the right ways. Every mattress seemed delightful while resting my head on this baby. The clerk told me that he'd throw the pillow in for free if we bought a $6,000 mattress and I nearly did it just to get the pillow. It was like some magical glow came over me, forcing me to ignore all logic. This pillow is like a drug. My husband snapped me out of it and we left the mattress store sans $6k mattress or amazing Purple pillow. This pillow is like sweet sweet heroin that hooks you with the first hit. I spent the next few weeks in withdrawal. I thought about that pillow day and night. I mean, it's not cheap and I am a person who did not take the idea of dropping $175 on a pillow lightly. After a month of hemming and hawing, I pulled the trigger. And a sense of ease came over me immediately. I couldn't wait the two days for that baby to come and yet I had to. And then tragedy struck. For some reason, Amazon determined that my pillow was "undeliverable" somewhere in Kansas and my order was cancelled. What the hell?? I wasn't going to take no for an answer at this point and ordered again. This time it came. And, y'all, it is glorious. It's even more honeycomb squish than I remembered. It's the perfect amount of heavenly support and comfort. The latex magic is somehow cool, no matter how long your face is squashed into it.
