I have been using this since she was 4 months. she has very sensitive skin, everything has to be specific, from bath products to laundry products. this works perfect for her. I was using tide free and clear before using this product but I hated the fact that it didn't have an awesome scent and still broke her out from time to time. purex baby smells smells great and my baby haven't had a breakout in 4 months!     • Scent is overpowering...
Clothes wash well with it. However, the scent is overpowering. We enjoy the subdued scent from Downy or Bounce fabric softener and the like. The scent from this detergent is a bit stronger than that. We'll be cautious to use it for just our towels, rags and other things that we wouldn't wear on ourselves all day. Anyhow, price is right. If you typically have scented detergent, this probably won't be a deal breaker. I think it's a good buy as long as you're aware of the scent. ... show more

Wasn’t sure what to expect coming from another brand made specifically for babies that has the amazing baby scent. But I like it in comparison. The only disappointment was that it arrived to my location in a weird way. Apparently one of the lids had came loose. So it must have broken the box, so they were bagged. But upon behind bagged they didn’t tighten the lid. Soap everywhere literally. My covered porch my table where I sat them, the bags they can came in. I recommend using a tape to keep the lids shut during shipment as they are very easy to open. ... show more

    • Not too Overpowering Baby Fragrance and Hypoallergenic is a Huge Benefit
In my opinion, there is no perfect laundry detergent, but I decided to try Purex for Baby because our family has an issue with sensitive skin, various allergies, and eczema. After use, we had no problems with allergies acting up and it didn't cause us to have any negative skin reactions, which is definitely a plus. It's also a much cheaper alternative to more expensive brands that our household uses such as Tide. The fragrance is nice and not too overpowering and I love that baby smell even though our household consists of all adults. I'll probably purchase this again when there's a sale or discount on Amazon. This was a nice impulse buy because we discovered that Purex isn't subpar in quality when it comes to laundry detergents. ... show more

Love the product, I have very sensitive skin and this does not irritate my skin. And at about half the cost of the expensive brand, it is a great buy. However when I opened the box it was leaking. Not out of the box, but the inside of the box was wet. I have received this before and not one leak but it was packaged differently. The cap was very well tightened and the whole bottle was sealed in heat shrink wrapping. Just needs better shipping method. ... show more

We have long used this detergent for our children's clothes. The scent is more mild than Dreft, much less overpowering. The "Dirt Lifter" claim is accurate and true. We have a 7y and a 4y old, very messy ages, this detergent does the trick every time. This go around the product was damaged during shipping. We could not replace the item online, so we called. Terri, our Amazon rep for the return, was absolutely amazing. There was no awkward silence or hassle. She made it feel as if we were old friends.
