I LOVE this gel! I'm very skeptical about trying new gel or hold products, as they always seem to disappoint. Either too crunchy, causes flakiness, or doesn't give me the hold that I am looking for. I saw a few people on YouTube with 4A natural hair use it, so I decided to try it. I needed something that would keep the smoothness of my roots downs without frizzing back up due to moisture in the product. This gel did the trick! It is a bit pricey, but you do get a lot, so I say it's a semi fair price for the ounces you get. Maybe knock 5.00 off and it would be perfect! It smells like a light hair gel not strong at all (hardly any smell actually), it gives a very medium strong hold, it does not flake and its actually moisturizing for my hair. You also get A LOT of product!! I bought the big jar and will definitely be keeping this gel as my #1 hair staple for hold.

This is by far the best braiding gel. It does not leave any white flakes. You can use it on any type hair and it does not have a strong smell. You can use it on braids, twist, locs, and more. I used it on me and my daughter hair; my daughter hair is not as coarse as mine so I knew it was great when I used it on mine. the hold is strong. This will be my go to from here on out!.

What I like most is that it has an all day hold, but leaves no residue. Also, the versatility of it is excellent. I've used it for a sleek ponytail, as well as, two strand twists and braided styles. I have been using this product for years to hold my straight/curly hair in a ponytail. Best product.. skip the gel and other products. This product has an amazing hold and add to your hair in so many ways with proteins. A little goes a long way! I used to purchase directly from African braiding shops but I am so happy to now be able to purchase directly from this Amazon seller. The price is fair for the size. I paid $15 in the shops but am good with the price that comes with free shipping with my Amazon Prime membership. Don’t hesitate, great buy!
