I hope this helps others like me, who are researching which mattress to buy. I didn't want to try out 2-3 mattress and deal with the return process, that takes time, money, and energy. Straight to the point, this is a wonderful bed. I cannot recommend it enough. For Context, we were leaning towards purchasing hybrid beds in the $2-3k range from various brands. I'm 165lbs and the wife weighs less. We both sleep on our back/side/stomach. We have a platform bed frame, no box spring. In my opinion this mattress needs to be paired with a topper. otherwise, I liken it to laying on a yoga mat on a hard floor. However, once paired with their soft 2-inch topper, and I think this is a 9/10 combination. We don't sink in, still get the support from the mattress underneath, but with just enough give/comfort/plushness. I think the 1-inch topper would be too little, and the 3-inch would change the characteristics of the mattress too much. I know they sell a med-firm mattress, but I read recent discussions that it maybe a toss up on which revision/material combination you'll get. I didn't want to take that chance, and I figured, you can always make a bed softer, it's a lot harder to make a bed firmer. This bed it great for Sex. We do not sink into this bed, regardless of position. We now have the support we need without having to use/adjust a bunch of pillows. We don't feel or notice when the other gets in/out of the bed and we don't get hot on this mattress/topper compared to our old memory foam mattress. We both snore less and are no longer sore when we wake up. Lastly, we got their pillows, and they are very comfortable. The mattress/topper alone made our crappy pillows better, but we prefer them over our older Tempur-Pedic symphony pillows. This mattress is almost 150 pounds, I recommend you have someone help you set it up, if possible. All in all, we love it.

I'm only two nights in, but I'm already loving this. I ordered a firm 'cuz I'm a big guy (6'2", 240) and a side sleeper who has never been truly comfortable, except on an air mattress, but the price of those is simply insane. Tried several foam types, but they all lie, both about sleeping cool and not developing significant sagging. The foam is also an ecological catastrophe, before and after, and you get all of that delightful off-gassing of petro-chemical goodness to envelope you all night. Yeah, I'll pass. Now the latex is very different, and I'd suggest trying one out at a local store if you can, 'cuz they may not be to your liking, but I can tell already that this one is not going to sag and fail the way my padt inner spring & foam mattresses have. I may yet need to add some sort of topper, but given the lack of chemical stink and worry that the latex provides, I'll be back to try one of their toppers next. My wife is tiny (5'6", 110) and she is definitely not a fan, but she is the literal embodiment of the princess and the pea. Still, I think a soft latex topper may convince her (we have a split king w/ articulating bases, so we can each pick what we like). Speaking of which, the latex also works great with my articulating bed frame. They absolutely are heavy, but I just flipped it end over end to get it up the stairs and onto the frame. Then I carefully cut off the box and began to unwrap the yards of brown paper that keeps it rolled up. You absolutely want to do that in place 'cuz trying to wrangle this bad boy by yourself once it's open would be akin to what I expect handling a dead body would be like. A side benefit of its weight is that the bottom sheet stays put, even with my nightly manipulations of the articulating bed frame. All in all, and especially for this money, I could not be happier, but I warn again, when they say firm, this mattress really is, so you may want to err on the side of ordering a step down from what you may be used to with the foam and inner spring alternatives

Comfort is excellent. Some give, not too warm (latex tends to be cooler than memory foam), great comfort for my personal jigsaw spine. Fits well and moves fine with an adjustable base in the twin xl size. HEAVY so have a few folks available to assist in moving, setup and placement once received at your domicile. Helpful hint; DO NOT open until you get the mattress to the room where you will be placing it. It EXPANDS! Also be prepared for the "crescent roll can" style of the mattress popping open when you unwind the kraft paper that compresses it for shipping. Can be startling to some folks...Not dangerous by any means, just startling... As always, I'll be back with further feedback, should it be warranted. Hopefully I have helped in your selection of mattresses; so much "marketing" out there... 07052023 In use for over four months. Still very comfortable. One suggestion as latex mattresses can run warm compared to traditional mattresses; Get a Cool Buddy, Bed Jet or other type of bed cooling unit of your choice to make this mattress (and your sleep) even better. Maintaining the optimum temperature during sleep is a great way to increase the depth and effectiveness of the sleep that your body needs to function at its peak at all times. Proper sleep is key, even with the various "bodily defects" that we acquire as we age. Hope this helps YOU! 10252023 This mattress is still great. Sleeping well. It arrived next day which was great. They delivered to door and we brought it in. Heavy, but able to put on dolly and bring in. Took out of box and put on bed, make sure right way. Unrolled plastic, got to end and bed sprung out, not too bad. I ordered the 9 inch queen, about 1 inch shorter than my original mattress. Bed is firm which what we wanted. Slight smell, but went away after a couple days. Did put mattress protector so doesn't get dirty. Overall comfortable. No back aches or hip pain, so far. I am 350 lbs and seems to hold well. Wife doesn't feel my movement when turning as much as original mattress. Will let you know more later.

I purchased a Firm 9" King on Amazon and ended up exchanging it for a Medium 9" King. This was an upgrade for an 8 year old beautyrest pillowtop. PROs: 1. If you buy directly from the Sleep On Latex website, shipping is RIDICULOUSLY fast. I placed my order around 10am and had it in my home around lunch the next day. (I live two states away from their HQs). 2. If isolation, heat dissipation, or uniformity throughout the mattress are anywhere near the top of your priority list, you won't find a better mattress type than natural latex. CON: 1. Natural latex makes for impressively heavy mattresses. Handles would help a lot but they aren't possible if you think about it. If you attach handles using a strap that passes through the mattress then you negatively impact comfort. If you just glue or sew handles to the outside wool/cotton cover then you risk ripping the cover due to the weight. Because this is kind of a no win situation, I won't deduct any stars because I agree with the decision to let moving the mattress be a pain in order to avoid non-latex internal components. SUBJECTIVE: 1. The firm mattress we got through amazon was truly very firm. I would liken the firmness to being slightly firmer than a good air mattress that is inflated to the point of nearly popping. 2. The 2nd mattress we got directly through Sleep On Latex is great for my family who are predominantly back sleepers but spend a lot of time on our sides as we're falling asleep. 3. As mentioned in the product description, the latex is covered by a New Zealand wool and cotton cover. The 2nd mattress we got did have a veeeeery slight 'barn' smell from the wool when you put your nose close to it. It was mostly gone after a week. My wife and I actually found it to be a pleasant smell. THE PURCHASE AND RETURN/EXCHANGE PROCESS: So I would recommend buying directly from Sleep on Latex. I'm generally a hardcore prime user but in this case, using Amazon is actually more inconvenient. If you buy through Amazon and decide to use their 100-day guarantee, you'll be asked to start a standard return request through amazon. Then Sleep On Latex gives you the option to donate the mattress to a charity and send them proof you did so or they can arrange for a charity to come pick it up. They don't actually accept the mattress back. Then, if you want to 'exchange' for a different size or firmness, you'll have to start a brand new order. If you use their website instead of Amazon, then this 2-step refund then re-purchase process is streamlined to just asking for an exchange. I will also add that sleep on Latex was very prompt with having the charity come the next day to pickup the mattress and issuing a refund that evening.

1yr review and this has held up surprisingly great! my back pain is almost completely gone. The bed is firmer than a firm memory foam mattress and this doesn’t sag and I haven’t had to flip or rotate the mattress to even it out. All in all a solid mattress. This mattress if you have to move to a different room or home is a pain! It flops all over the place is very heavy

Very happy with this mattress which we have for a few weeks by now. This was a replacement for a memory foam mattress which caused us trouble. This mattress is fairly heavy which is exactly what you want - natural latex has a higher density, hence such mattresses have a weight to them. If you have to carry it - like me - to an upper floor, you better get a helping hand. Unpacking of the mattress was super easy and there was zero smell to it. The mattress is a bit firmer than what we were used to from previous (also firm) mattresses, hence be aware of that. If you like firm or extra firm mattresses - this one is fitting the bill. For my taste it was a bit too firm, hence I bought a topper - now it's perfect! Sleeping on this mattress is fantastic. It doesn't get hot (like our previous one), it provides great support (doesn't cause any pressure points) and you don't feel movements of your partner. I get now full night's sleep without any trouble - this is heavenly! The thickness of the mattress works for us great - wouldn't want to have it thicker than that. I also like that this product has several industry certificates complying with strict standards. Lastly, their customers support is great. I highly recommend this mattress.
