  • Been through 3 other brands
I've been hatching peckin duck eggs and I've had two other incubator brands fail. The first worked for the first 28-day hatch and then broke. Another, had condensation buildup in the electronic display. This brand has successfully hatched two batches with no problems. Even though I'm American and know temperature as Fahrenheit, this model uses Celsius, which is adventurous because all hatching instructions on the internet use Celsius. Another bonus, which I didn't realize was a bonus until I used other models, is that you can step your temperature by .5. Some models make you use whole degrees, not fractional. With duck eggs, you need to be able to fine tune your temperatures as the hatch date arrives. Another feature not normally included on other models is it tracks your egg days. No need to track everything with a calendar. Plus, it does a timer countdown on its egg turning cycle. Now, you know exactly when your eggs will be turned. Even though this product looks almost exactly like every other incubator on Amazon, this one has those few little options which make it a good choice. ... show more

  • Moisture in screen
Thermometer is off as it is, and almost an incubator but does hold heat well with the styrofoam on it that it came in. Does not display humidity at all. Moisture got in the screen and the numbers started glitching really bad and now nothing lights up except the egg candling light. I requested a replacement so if it does the same thing I will expect a full refund! ... show more

  • Chick chick here, chick chick there!
For an affordable little incubator, I'd get it again. I wasn't willing to pay hundreds of dollars, so after reading tons of verified purchase reviews, I decided this was our best bet. It's nothing fancy. It's plastic. The automatic turner works great. I turn it off for the final week so the chicks can get oriented to hatch. You just remove the little turner wheel from inside of the lid. There is a built in candling led light on the top, but I ordered a rechargable handheld one that's brighter and I can carry into a dark room to check an egg whenever. There is no hygrometer, but I purchased a small digital one to stick in there which serves that purpose. Monitoring the humidity levels is absolutely critical. The last week I keep mine at 70°F. Before that they don't need high humidity. You do have to adjust the humidity manually by adding water until it's where you want it. There's an overflow if you get too much in there. I imagine the atmospheric humidity where you live might impact how much youd need to add. We're in Oregon's Willamette Valley but if you're in a more arid climate you may have to add water more often. There's been a learning curve for me, as I'd never hatched out chicks before. So, I've read a lot and watched lots of youtube videos. It's amazing to witness as they hatch out and dry off in there. I try to keep them in the incubator for a day while they get dried off and adjust to no longer being in an egg. If there's not going to be enough room for that, just be sure to have a brooder set up and warm for them. We've got about two dozen baby fluffybutts so far. WARNING: Baby chicks are addicting. We love them so much, and it's been fun to be able to share our babies with family and friends who are starting their own backyard flocks. ... show more

  • So far, pretty good!
For a very cheap incubator, so far I'm impressed. A couple things worth noting: There is no humidity gauge on this unit. We had to order a small hygrometer/thermometer to put inside and track humidity, and double check temperature as temp reads in Celsius. There is no water port to add water without opening the incubator. Save the Styrofoam! Without the Styrofoam it came packaged in the incubator had a hard time getting to temp. The Styrofoam acts as a good insulator and helps keep everything a little more regulated. I still have about two weeks on the quail eggs that I have in there, keeping fingers crossed for a good hatch rate! ... show more

  • Ok for price but missing parts
Missing feeders and water bottle. Made eggs feel hot so not sure of temperature accuracy. Overall it’s a good incubator for the price. I have 2 out of 8 eggs thriving!

  • Work well
I put 12 chicken eggs in all hatched. Some did not make it no fault of the product. Turning timer. Easy to setup.

  • Save your $
This incubator did not come with the advertised feeder/water trays nor the water dispenser for the humidity. It also seems to not actually turn the eggs! I waited for the 120 min counter to hit 0 and there was NO movement and now my eggs are probably all dead. I tested the product as directed and the direction are chaotic and don't make alot of sense, there are no instructional videos on how to troubleshoot or even set it up and the QR code on the instructions just takes you to a virtual picture of what you have in your hands which is redundant. I was super excited to start raising quail and this total ruined the experience. Save your money and go for the more expensive brands with more information. ... show more
