Umbrellas are a necessity, especially if you live in a place where rain is a frequent occurrence. I live in such a place, and I like umbrellas that are compact so that I can easily fit them in a small space. These travel umbrellas are just right for my needs. You get two umbrellas in each package with this purchase, so you can keep one handy in two different places. The umbrellas are compact and lightweight. They feature an auto- open functionality. Just push the button and the umbrella expands to its open position. Push the button again to close and seal up, for the next rainfall. When folded, this umbrella is about eleven inches in length, so it’s easy to fit it in a small space. When it is fully opened, it covers a width of about forty inches, which is enough for one person to protect themselves from the rain. It’s not a huge amount of coverage, and certainly not enough for two people, but it’s what you expect for a compact umbrella. One of the many good qualities with this umbrella is that it’s sturdier than most. It is designed to be able to handle a strong gust without breaking. The small handle could be an issue for some people, but again, this is a compact umbrella so you really can’t expect a large, u- shaped handle to grip. Umbrellas are a necessary accessory. This set of compact umbrellas is very good for the price. The compact size makes them easy to store and the strength helps hold the umbrella together while providing protection from mother nature. I wasn’t expecting much when I ordered this umbrella – after all, most compact models tend to be flimsy or struggle in even moderate wind. But this one really surprised me. Despite its travel-friendly size, it’s incredibly sturdy and it offers 42" of coverage. The frame feels solid and well-engineered, and it is designed to hold up easily in a gusty downpour. Please note that you use the push button to both OPEN and CLOSE the umbrella (forgot to read the instructions :) ). When opening, the instructions warn you to leave a 3foot area clear when opening as this umbrella deploys with a definitive SNAP! What I love most is that it folds down small enough to fit in my bag or even a coat pocket, yet doesn’t compromise on coverage or durability. The canopy is wide enough to keep me dry, and the wind-resistant structure actually works – no awkward flipping or collapsing. I truly believe that this umbrella may actually hold u for years so long as I don't forget and leave it somewhere.. But that's why there are two in this package. Would heartily recommend. Two pack of compact umbrellas at the color of your choice. I haven’t used these in the rain yet but did use them for shade in the Texas heat and wind and they held form through it. They open nice and close nicely. The material looks stitched and connected well. At the price if they last a year or two i’ll be happy. I keep one in my jeep under the seat and hang one by the front door, so a two pack is perfect. They have an automatic open that is almost comically explosive so be careful to open away from people and there is a fast close as well where it wraps up and then you collapse right down to their small size. They come with a nice little bag too which is nice for keeping in vehicle. again, don’t point these at anyone when you click open! Getting them back into the little cover they shipped with seems futile so that may be more about shipping them to you vs using regularly. I won’t remove a star because I wanted the umbrellas and didn’t look specifically for a cover. ... show more

My grandson started middle school this year and his bus stop is a short walk from our house. Not a major deal except on days that it rains. Regardless if he is going to school or coming home if it is raining he will get soaked. Since taking a full sized umbrella would be a bit of a problem (and he would probably not take it with him anyway) this folding umbrella is perfect to keep in his backpack for those wet days. It is sturdy and appears to be well made and I expect it to stand up to the abuse that a 12 year old will subject it to. I showed him how to properly open and close it and he had no trouble mastering the process. When I was working I made many business trips where I had to walk and rain was sometimes a problem so I carried one just like these. I served me well for quite a few years. I expect this one to be the same. I would recommend these to anyone that needs a portable umbrella. ... show more

Be careful with this one. I ordered the 2 pack; but only received 1. Overall I'm happy with it; I just wish I could have gotten both to keep one at home and the other at work so I wouldn't be stranded without it or have to tote it back and forth each day. It looks exactly as described in the picture provided by the seller. The buttons are a bit touchy though; I mean it's good and not at the same time. On the one hand if you're suddenly caught in the rain and need it to release quickly then it's great but if it's in your bag and you accidentally push the button then that could be a bit of a problem. ... show more
