  • This is to anybody who constantly works outside
Color: Blue
At the time when I needed this, I was a mail carrier for usps for about 4 years so this was definitely needed through the times of when it was raining constantly where I lived. But since I no longer work outside anymore, I would definitely recommend this to anybody who does work outside or who doesn’t need an umbrella. Just get up and go. In my opinion, it keeps me very warm. Water wasn’t slipping through my clothes kept me protected at all times. It pretty long in the front and the back I’m 5”7 so this worked out perfect. Definitely get this if you’re interested. Also, the color is very bright. I got myself the navy blue. It’s not much of a navy blue is more of an indigo blue but nevertheless still a pretty color. Quality would have to say is top-tier throughout the times I was outside being in and out of the truck, making deliveries on my route. I never punctured had any holes in it very strong material. pockets are very deep in the front of the rain jacket so you’re able to put in little necessities if you want to. And it’s lightweight who couldn’t ask for a better rain jacket. ... show more

  • I look kind of badass.
Color: Black
Remember the end of Unbreakable where Bruce Willis is going around in the rain using his superpowers to root out evil? I look kind of like that when I’m wearing this. Except I have more hair. It also keeps me dry very well, which was the primary reason I bought it. And I like that in a pinch I could use it as a tarp But mostly I’ve been focusing on the badassery of the look. It gives off sort of an “I’m approachable, but don’t try pulling anything vibe.” And it folds up small and has a nice little bag to store it in. I carry it in my backpack. It’s very convenient. Which is important, because you don’t always know when it’s going to rain. You also don’t always know when you’re going to have to project an aura of self-assured, level headed, no nonsense I-can-take-the-lot-of-you-ness. So to sum it up, excellent product, excellent value, and if you buy it in black it’s appropriate for situations where you might be at risk of serious bodily injury. ... show more

  • Excellent for rainy days, but it doesn’t seem that much sturdy
Color: Black
I bought this for Hiking and it does the job but the material itself doesn’t seem to be sturdy. It’s lightweight and pack really well. It seems to fit me very well. My only gripe with it is I feel like the material can easily be torn apart when you get hooked to something like a tree or a branch.

  • Good for the money
Color: Brown
I have bought three of these and they have worked well. Quality is good enough to handle minor encounters with sharp objects, but definitely feel they would tear if you are caught by a pointy branch or sharp rock. They have grommets on them that is a great bonus if you want to tie them up to create a temporary shelter, or hang them to dry faster. They are compact enough to slip into a side pocket on you backpack or keep in the glovebox of your car for emergencies. ... show more

  • Perfect for me.
Color: Green
I used this poncho on my hike on St Jame's El Camino Francés. I walked in March, and encountered a few days of moderate to heavy rain. This poncho kept me, and more importantly, everything in my backpack, comfortably dry. I don't have sufficient experience with other rain gear under harsh conditions, so I can't tell if this was any more breathable or comfortable than other options. At points I felt very warm and got wetter from sweat than from the rain, even though I wasn't wearing any heavy or overly warm jackets underneath. Still, I like the fact that I could wear the poncho over both myself and my backpack, and I was sufficiently protected. I think a raincoat or a rain jacket would have protected me less, and at the very least would have resulted in back side of my backpack getting wet. The poncho reached nearly to my knees, even while covering with a somewhat bulky backpack; it dries quickly and stores into a pretty compact pack which servers as an ample front pocket when unfolded. The fabric and stitching are strong and proven to be tear resistant. I did not get to test it as a makeshift tent, but I have the impression that i would probably do well if you carry the necessary ropes and ground hooks. Along the trail I met plenty of pilgrims with torn ponchos that barely lasted through one day of rain. Mine made it all the way and back home in perfect shape, and it is sitting ready for the next adventure. ... show more

  • Looks cool and fits well.
Color: Grey W/ Reflective Stripe
It keeps me dry and isn't too thin like those ones that you can get from any dollar store, this is the real deal. I like the case that comes with it and the reflective stripes on the side is a nice feature. Unlike an umbrella that won't keep you dry if it's overly windy and rainy, this thing will.

  • Good quality
Color: Black
It is pretty durable.. kept us dry at an outdoor rain or shine concert. It has a pocket for your money keys etc. And we will be able to use them many times again due to good quality. *just note that it is extremely large. I’m 5’6 and it was doable but very big. It was perfect for my husband who is 6ft. ... show more

  • Hood configuration caused neck and head pain.
Color: Orange
I tried on but did not wear to my event because the poncho caused me neck and head pain in the few minutes of trying it on. I will be returning. This poncho has several good features. However, for me, either the length of the hood was too short or it was configured oddly. Possibly the weight of the poncho exasperated the problem. I liked the wide hood opening that included a drawstring. It allows for easy on /off over the head. The hood's brim sags but that could be resolved by wearing a baseball cap underneath. The poncho is very wide, enough to cover a packpack. I'm 5' 6" tall and the sleeves came down half way between my elbow and my wrist. The length of the poncho reached 1" below my knees, without a backpack on. The black snaps at the sides are easy to find (black vs same color as poncho) and they appear sturdy. The front pocket has a velcro closure which would stay shut during inclimate weather, potentially keeping contents dry. I'm unable to comment on it's waterproofing because I did not wear the poncho, other than trying it on. The material is better quality than the cheap plastic ponchos, but that also makes it heavier. ... show more
