First, the box enclosures in my photograph were purchased separately on Amazon and are not included with these speakers. Speakers, grills and some screws are what is in the product box. And the speakers are mighty powerful ones. My test bench setup produced sound from these speakers at levels that actually hurt my ears. They stayed clear with minimal distortion right up to this point of pain inducement, and I attribute this clean and powerful sound to the size (and weight) of the onboard magnets, plus the replaceable cone material is supposed to be made of carbon fiber, which sounds exotic and expensive. You might wonder what keeps me from awarding a fifth star to these speakers. That reason would be that I recently reviewed a pair of less expensive 6 X 9 speakers for Amazon, and they actually sounded better (clearer at high volume) to me than these do. These speakers do sound good, but my personal taste was better satisfied by the other pair which makes these a close runner up, just not quite #1 IMO. ... show more

love them. I was expecting them to be junk but they are the opposite, so good. I have them installed in front doors, crossed over at 38hz to 90hz with 12db slopes, 100w to each at 4 ohms, and smoothed out with DSP and they play extremely well. add a nice midbass punch.
