This is well made and the materials feel solid. The frame holds the camera well and it doesn’t add any vibration or noise to the recordings. My camera has fallen on the ground of my bike and the only damage was to the lens and the lens guard. This is a great buy.

I mostly got this because it has a built in shoe that I needed for my wireless microphone. There was plenty of space for me to add a media adapter on to the camera and it fit. The buttons are still easily accessible. It works very well and has the dual mounting points which is nice. It hasn't been through any abuse but I use it on my motorcycle and it works very well for what I need.

So I purchased this to protect my camera while riding motorcycles, took it on a non-motorcycle trip and unfortunately had to test it when the extended wand fell over do to a wind gust. The game did hold up and protected the corners or edges of the camera, but the camera did not survive the fall, I can’t really blame the frame for that, but it’s a guarantee if I lost it on my bike or I went down on my bike the camera would be still be toast, just not really worth the purchase if the goal is to protect the camera.

I bought the original cage from smallrig for my Insta360 x3. I use it to protect the camera when I’m flying it on my FPV drone, so it needs to but strong even so small crashes. I had a small crash with my smallrig cage and the top part where it screws down is plastic and of course broke, all metal held up fine (it did save my camera, but cage was gone..) This cage is all metal and I won’t have the same problems, if this cage breaks, the camera will be toast too…love it!

Very good design and build quality. It will keep your expensive Insta 360 X3 video camera safe. I use this without fear on difficult, long distance off-road motorcycle rides. If you have that camera, get this case right now. @ALittleDTour on X and YouTube

It definitely protects my insta 360 x3 but it’s hard to carry it all the time because it makes the kit too heavy.

this is almost perfect as I can access the battery compartment without removing it. It will protect the top, bottom & sides but not the front or back of the camera
