Description

The ProsourceFit Exercise Puzzle Mat ½-inch creates a large, comfortable and durable surface for workouts and exercise equipment while protecting your floor. The interlocking foam mats are made from thick EVA foam which absorbs impact and noise during workouts and provides a soft surface for ground exercises like push-ups, crunches and yoga movements and weight lifting workouts. Easy-to-assemble interlocking foam floor pads when put together covers 24, 48 or 144 square feet with end borders for a clean, finished look. Each tile is ½ inch thick from the highest point of the texture. It comes in five color options and is great for garages, fitness rooms, gyms, children’s play areas and other hard floors. The foam puzzle mat contains no phthalates.

We bought this flooring to go under our home gym in the finished area of our basement. Super quick and easy to install. We installed over carpet with no issues (this actually may be beneficial to minimize slipping). Initially, we built out a 14x10' continuous area for a treadmill, dumbbell rack, and bench. However, we were having issues with the tiles getting air trapped under them during normal use. We ended up installing three smaller areas for each section of our gym; this is working very well. Couple of things to be aware of when you first install this product: (1) there is a rubber smell that will dissipate within 24 hours and (2) there is an oily (?) film on the top that will go away with normal use over time. We actually used these as carpet padding beneath several area rugs in our home. We have hardwood floors and the machine washable area rugs just weren’t comfortable enough to sit on/play with kids on the floor/do exercises/etc. Upon getting actual carpet padding for one rug (crazy expensive and impossible to clean), I looked for a better option for the other rugs in our home. These worked perfectly!!! The bouncy cushion comfort is better than having actual carpet, and in the event that there is a spill, I can easily clean/ sanitize this product beneath. This has worked better than I could have imagined. Since then we’ve used them for picnics and camping, as a kneeling mat in the garden, as protection in the trunk of the car when moving messy or bulky items. They just come in so handy. We just purchased these for our home and when we opened the package, one of the tiles had black mold on it! I opened it from the plastic and was laying them on the ground when we noticed it. They seem to be great mats but we are very concerned about this, especially coming from a new package!
