I usually live at home that has carpet or something so I'm not too worried about my baby falling down and bumping their head too hard and getting seriously hurt but with my most recent baby boy we live in a home that has really hard tile and floors that have concrete underneath. I have been a paranoid paranoid person about come falling down or rolling over anything like that and getting hurt by slamming his head on the floor. So glad I got these and I will be buying more. They are very thick nice and soft so I don't feel nearly as paranoid I'm pretty okay with him trying to walk now. Made a huge difference in comfort in patio in summer and winter and taken worry of falling away. Also, I put it in my trailer on floor. Again, much more comfortable in cold and hot weather. I got 3/4" but 1/2" might had done as well. But, 3/4" is easy to fill small areas because it is more square and less prone to turning over. There is a spongeyness so if you're uneasy on your feet, may not be the best. 1/2" might be better for that. ... show more

The 3/4inch thick tiles seem to work pretty well my for garage gym and even for my car. Although it's probably not recommended, I tested parking part of my car on one tile as a test and it seemed to hold up fine so I filled out part of the garage where i park one of my cars. So far I've moved my car on and off a few times and with the exception of a few tire tracks from the dirt, the tiles seem to be holding up great.. This might end up being a huge mistake but so far, so good. ... show more

I love how thick they are, and they seem pretty durable. My only complaint is that as you walk around on them you build up some static electricity, so if you touch something metal it gives you a pretty good shock. And it doesn’t matter which shoes I wear, or if I don’t wear shoes at all. We have our power rack on top of them as well as other various weights…Not a deal breaker, just inconvenient. ... show more
